I just realised I should probably write an intro OOPS im new gen im new gen

Anyway. Hi, I'm Rennie, my pronouns are he/they! I'm 19, Scottish & I study comp sci! This blog is for me to autism out about UT/DR, which will involve updates/promotions about my works on Ao3, some fanart on the rare occasion that I draw (and bare with me because I am NAWT good), and just some random thoughts I have. Maybe a rant if I feel like it.

I of course have other interests!! If I get hyperfixated again on any of them I mighttt make a blog for them? We'll see!

what do you think of Berdly deltarune?

I don't hate Berdly, if my last post about him gave anyone that impression. I think that people do definitely hate on him too much sometimes considering he is just a teenager at the end of the day and is not exactly evil.

That being said, people often overhype his character to overshadow the female cast. You're allowed to love Berdly, but the fun gang are allowed to dislike him. And it was always pretty obvious that Noelle was going to be a main character, not Berdly.

Additionally, people often compare him to Papyrus, but I don't think that's a fair comparison. Papyrus doesn't insult people to lift himself up.

But!! I will say snowgrave Berdly and geno Papyrus are pretty similar, both show a different more caring side to their character. I think snowgrave does a good job at "oh you want to kill this guy?? Well he's just a teen and cares about his friend. Bet you feel bad now huh??"

TLDR, I like Berdly as a character, but also understand why the cast does not.

I am so so confused by people upset that Susie wants to get Noelle involved. Like, oh it's because she's her girlfriend she's blinded by that!! I mean yes, but fucking??? SHE HAS THE SHELTER CODE??? Not directly but she's fucking linked??? If anyone can get it it'd be her??? Especially with Noelle's character development meaning she'd be more comfortable defying her mother

Like Susie said. It CAN'T just be their thing anymore. Two people have been kidnapped, including Kris' DAD, and the end of the world is at stake. Plus, they haven't been able to defeat SEVERAL bosses, they only beat King & Queen because of darkners helping, they got their ass kicked by the knight even WITH our help, and Kris was beaten on the ground by Flowery before Asgore came. Would all this not terrify you??? OF COURSE she wants to get more people involved, better yet, someone who has BEEN to the dark world.

I don't even understand how this is a question. Again, Noelle DIRECTLY has links to all of this, and is a much better companion in battle. She, y'know, LISTENS to Kris and has more powerful magic than Ralsei, having her healing magic be on the same level and her sleepmist being stronger than pacify. It would be acceptable for her to replace the role of the mage, Berdly replacing Susie as role of fighter?? FUCK no

Why are you all insisting Berdly is this big strong guy?? He's really not!! Even if we're talking about fighting we KNOW for a fact that Noelle is stronger in that department too, so why are we pretending she's an awful choice!!

Okay as a follow up for that WIP i posted, i think im gonna go in a different direction

I'm kinda just documenting my thoughts into the void here, but I kinda have different ideas and rahh

I'm thinking...cus i really cannot decide between dadster and broster, but also maybe i should try writing something else? But it is entirely self indulgent. So.

I do try to write Deltarune fics but I often get afraid of getting stuff wrong but i think i should just get over it lmfao
