enshittification happens because an app will reach a state where it's just Good and changing it would only make it worse. but companies always want to see numbers go up, so they will keep demanding that the devs "improve" on it. if they say they can't improve on it, the company will decide their jobs are pointless, and then they get fired, so all the devs can do is try to change stuff around without messing with things too much. if this doesn't lead to an increase in profits (and why would it?) the company will keep demanding changes, until eventually the app enshittifies

me explaining something to a friend: so the reason a drift is not something you want to do willy nilly is because it is a very specific technique and cars are simply not built to slide, so most types of racing you are more likely to lose control and/or leak speed at every corner if you don't try to simply slow down and take a corner with more tire grip. of course in the case of japan's mountain roads, it would make a lot of sense that in so many hairpin corners that you would want your car to slide in a way such that it is facing forward as soon as the corner ends, but it's not something you'd do in a level road with a much more grippy car, for example
