An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
a little thing i wrote for fun while trying to get inspiration for cs.
Prompt: In 150 words or less, write using the following prompt. “You awaken in your bed, drenched in salty seawater.”
I awaken in my bed, drenched in salty seawater. It’s dripping into my eyes and the salt is already making my skin feel crusty, but through the blur of droplets on my eyelashes I see my brother holding an upturned bucket over my head. I rub the water out of my eyes as my face scrunches in a frown and anger replaces my surprise.
“Johnny, you better run for your life or I’ll make sure you’ll never be able to walk again.” My brother remains unfazed and laughs as he leaves.
“You better clean yourself up, maybe take a shower. Mom made pancakes for us!” He didn’t  turn around to address me, and I refused to be beaten so easily. So after I showered and creeped downstairs so he wouldn’t hear me, I snuck up behind him and dumped a container of coconut water on his head.
“Check, dear brother.”
Prompt: In 55 words or less, write an entire story about two star-crossed lovers forced to end their lives.
“They’re coming.”
“How do you know?”
“I feel it. Their footsteps.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be. We knew this would happen. Our abilities made us targets.”
“Still.”
“I’m not sorry I fell in love and stayed with you.”
“Alright. We can’t let them separate us.”
“Are you ready?”
“I’ll see you in the next life, love.”

Who wants prompts I wrote while drunk (and edited hungover?)
You don’t? Well you are going to get them!
I’m hiding like a bitch. Wanna be bitch with me?
I don’t understand spoons? How can I be upside down?Â
In about two hours I will be too intoxicated to remember this even happening, so I’m not too concerned.
Sometimes people won’t never adjust to changes.
Stop stuffing your stuff in my suitcase, I need it too!
You are the only allowed in my apartment and even you will lose your apartment privileged if you won’t quit it.
“We are the two responsible adults in this sea of children.“ “I know, and alcohol is not going to help us now.”
I’ve spent far too long doing this makeup to start crying right now.
“What, you don’t like my majestic beard?“ “I want to burn that animal off your face.“
I mean life is full of surprises. You could find the love of your life tomorrow, but you could also wake up bald.
This is vodka. It warms my heart.
Remember who your friend is. I made you food yesterday.
Is there anyone brave enough to risk getting paralyzed for this?
“You don’t trust her?” “Our friendship is purely built on lies, I second guess everything she says.”
I know I lie a lot but I’m telling the truth this time!
Just me, you and homicidal maniac
At least have the common courtesy to apologise if you hit somebody in your rolling chair race!Â
I have changed my password twelve times in a week, why does my brain not work!
“I’m gonna get drunk tonight, does somebody babysit me?” “You ain’t my problem to deal with.“
What counts as a sexy bra? Because I think my Walking Dead bra is very sexy.

Hey guys! As a writer myself, it’s hard to have a lot of resources for writing in one place. That’s why I decided to create this masterpost, and maybe make more if I find future resources. I hope you like it, and expect to see more masterposts like this in the future!

Hey fellow writers! Enjoy!
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
hello everyone! i’ve posted a multichap soonhoon fic on ao3, go check it out! more info under the cut~
Word Counter - Not only does it count the number of words you’ve written, it tells you which words are used most often and how many times they appear.
Tip Of My Tongue - Have you ever had a word on the tip of your tongue, but you just can’t figure out what it is? This site searches words by letters, length, definition, and more to alleviate that.
Readability Score - This calculates a multitude of text statistics, including character, syllable, word, and sentence count, characters and syllables per word, words per sentence, and average grade level.
Writer’s Block (Desktop Application) - This free application for your computer will block out everything on your computer until you meet a certain word count or spend a certain amount of time writing.
Cliche Finder - It does what the name says.
Write Rhymes - It’ll find rhymes for words as you write.
Verbix - This site conjugates verbs, because English is a weird language.
Graviax - This grammar checker is much more comprehensive than Microsoft Word, again, because English is a weird language.
Sorry for how short this is! I wanted to only include things I genuinely find useful.
Definitely some great tools to know!!
I’ve used a few of these before, they are very useful!
