...might bring my narrator blog back
i know i have like two followers, but plotting call…mayhaps ?
Ewan McGregor in costume/continuity polaroids for Trainspotting (1996). Costume design by Rachel Fleming.
a sentence starter inspired by the short-story “ THE HUSBAND STITCH ” written by carmen maria machado.
i have always been a teller of stories.
this isn’t how things are done, but this is how i am going to do them.
what thing could you want so badly that they take you away from the known world for wanting it?
there are true things in this world only observed by a single set of eyes.
i have heard all of the stories about girls like me, and i am unafraid to make more of them.
i feel like i know so many parts of you – and now, i will know all of them.
scoffing is the first mistake a woman can make.
the moral of that story, i think, is that being poor will kill you.
the moral is that brides never fare well in stories.
avoid either being a bride, or being in a story.
stories can sense happiness and snuff it out like a candle.
there is a story i love about a pioneer husband and wife killed by wolves.
stories have this way of running together like raindrops in a pond.
i’m sorry. i’ve forgotten the rest of the story.
there are many endings to a story.
my body changes in ways i do not expect. i feel monstrous.
something inside of me is shifting into a strange new place.
pain makes the mind see things differently than they are.
please, don’t make them cut you out of me.
i have given you everything you have ever asked for.
i am not hiding it. it is not yours.
something is lost between us, and i will never find it again.
the answer would be like adolescence: too frightening to forget.
forgiveness tastes sweeter than any candy.
i love you more than you can possibly know.
i feel as lonely as i have ever been.
i know i have like two followers, but plotting call. . .mayhaps ?
A NEEDY BOY . this hunger that settles so deeply in the pit of your stomach was beginning to ache. it nest itself in the back of your head. a constant buzz, the hunger. just one more hit, just one more hit, just one more hit. you’re no different from the homeless men that haunt the streets at night begging for spare change, or for a fire when the winter is too bitter for them to ignore. you always thought that you held a higher moral fiber than the junkies whose mouths froth from their chapped lips begging for god’s mercy. begging for their hunger to be fed. ( no, i’m different . i’m different . )
maybe you are different . at least you’re willing to fight for your food, right? the night was muddy and gray, no stars to accompany you on your journey. the loneliness dull and unforgiving ( but that won’t last long, the warm blanket sits at home, it awaits patiently at your bedside. ) a beaten down honda accord sits in the parking lot of a convenience store . perfect, you think. look both ways, the coast is clear . you stride confidently towards the window of the car, and without hesitation ——— jam your hand through the glass. blood trickles down from your knuckles to your wrist ( a soldier with battle scars, how interesting . ) your eyes adjust, spotting a twenty dollar bill and some change. a wide smirk creeps on your lips but quickly distorts, startled by the shrill of a woman from behind. you turn to face her, shame yet to be resolved . “ —— HELLO , I NOTICED THAT YOU’RE WINDOW WAS BROKEN . might want to get that fixed , no ? ” + starter for @revoide / charlotte .

hello, i’m ryan. i’m a junior in high-school. if my age is off-putting to you i would suggest to not follow lmao.
trainspotting is centered around the topics of drug abuse and addiction. if any of these topics are triggering for you please follow with at your own discretion.
pretty selective on who i follow. if you spam the dash or don’t post enough writing i most likely won’t follow you.
since i am in high-school and work a part-time job, getting back to threads might take me a couple of days. so i would prefer plotting before interaction is very much preferred.
i struggle with bipolar + depression so my inactivity might be spotty on tumblr, but i’d be happy to move our thread to discord!
again, my name is ryan (she/her), i’m a black 6teen year old and excited to write with whoever happens to be reading this ! :-)
