Ngl i feel as if most of the claim of Chuck being a bad person and a bad caretaker of Gus and instead making Buster (or even Fang) Gus’ only father figure is rooted in the ableist take of “a physically disabled old person cant be a good parent.” This is especially backed up by Buster being abled bodied and younger. Now, am i saying every physically disabled person is capable or comfortable with taking care of a child? No. But Chuck clearly is able to.
