About Tenna being a victim of Friend.
Okay it makes sense, trust.
Ik this is a bold claim to make, the tumblr sexyman being tortured by the fandoms boogeyman, it makes sense if you just believe and close your eyes and trust me.
So, this is based on the new dialogue from Pink’s shop in chapter 5. The dialogue that reveals that there have been many, many, MANY friends and they have been stalking Spamton (and maybe Jevil). Who is one of the most important characters in Spamton’s lore and backstory? Tenna. Now, that isn’t evidence as is. I’m getting to the juicy part, trust me. In the Sword Route we fight the Shadow Mantle boss, who I will refer to as ERAM from here on out. During the ERAM fight, they spawn numerous FRIENDs. I know this doesn’t mean much to Tenna but, now this is something easily missable, Tenna knows of the Sword Route. He MADE Legend of Tenna (the original one and the one we play on TV Time), its his game. He may have put it in himself. ik the ads aren’t canon as they aren’t in game media BUT in the ad “And now a word from Mr. ‘Ant’ Tenna…” Tenna scolds Ramb due to him not cutting out the sword route footage, then everything gets glitchy when the ERAM fight pops up on screen. Also, we can’t read what the original games name was… but, to me at least, I see MANTLE. Who holds the Shadow MANTLE??? ERAM.
As I said last paragraph, Tenna used to be Spamton’s partner, Spamton is actively being hunted by FRIEND (s). Now, obviously this ties Tenna to FRIEND by extension. What does FRIEND hunt? Eggs, what are Pipis according to the two people who know what the hell they are? Eggs. Tenna has a whole closet full of Pipis, that would make him a target. What does Pink tell Kris to do in chapter 5?? “Kris, if you have any protein, you must keep it hidden, and never let anyone see it” TENNA IS HIDDING IT IN HIS WARDROBE. When the Pipis falls out of the closet, Tenna acts horrified and what not.. now, I’m not trying to make sense of the Spamtenna divorce child scene.. but, I do think the main reason he acted horrified was because of fear of FRIEND finding THAT Pipis (the one he cares for especially), or any at all. Now, I know in the scene itself Tenna is ashamed because the audience starts booing him, but I dont believe thats the ONLY reason why he’s “at his limit.” I also think thats why he’s grinding up the Pipis, to get rid of them before FRIEND catches on (again???). Also, I believe that in the Japanese dub Tenna says “no” and “it cant be” during the Spamton pipis scene which most people take as “oh he does recognize spamton, he just doesnt wanna face his problems” which makes sense for him and his character but it could also be read as him thinking its FRIEND. Especially since Spamton appeared after the egg fell out
This is a bonus and a theory for a different day but the Mikes have some FRIEND imagery. I’ll be referring to the Mikes with their mini-game’s name: Battat, Jongler, and Pluey. I’ll only really be talking about Pluey and Battat, I couldn’t find/remember anything for Jongler. Starting with Pluey, just look at him. He is wearing a suit of a black cat who is smiling and has PINK AND YELLOW eyes. Battat, on the other hand, is a little odder??? If you get far enough in his mini-game you can start seeing FRIENDs face. Do I know know what this means? Nah. I think it’s hinting that OG Mike was slimed out by FRIEND. Idk I’ll have to go more into that LATER.
If you guys have any more evidence or anything to rebut what I’m saying I’d LOVE to hear it!!
ALSO I KNOW “wouldnt Tenna be more understanding of Spamton leaving if he was also a FRIEND victim?” Which i understand… but Tenna is selfish and biased, and also… how would Tenna know Spamton was also a victim?
