Every successful entrepreneurship involves

TAKING RISK

However, the way you handle it will determine if you'd gain the REWARD or become WISER at the end of it all.

A risk which could bring about a positive effect on project objectives, and accordingly can be seen as POSITIVE RISK, however there are also risks that can be a Threat, i.e., those with negative impact "NEGATIVE RISKS"!

There are different strategies to deal with both positive and negative risk when it comes. But for now, our focus will be on the positive ones.

1.) Exploit

Exploitation increases the chances of making a positive risk happen, leading to an opportunity.

To do: Assigned sufficient and efficient resources to take advantage of this.

This approach reduces the UNCERTAINTY associated with a positive risk by ensuring that it HAPPENS.

2.) Share

When not fully capable of taking advantage of an opportunity, call in a partner to help with it. The expertise of a partner is leverage to maximize the turning out of the opportunity.

To do: Establish sharing opportunity with can include *forming risk-sharing Partnerships teams

* unique purpose companies, or

* joint ventures.

In this all parties gains as per their investment and action.

3.) Enhance

Enhancing involves increasing the probability of occurrence of the risk and expanding its impact. This is done by identifying and influencing the various risk triggers.

To do: An example of enhancing an opportunity includes adding more resources to project activities to finish it earlier.

4.) Accept

This involves taking advantage of the positive risk as it happens but not actively pursuing it. It is just like an opportunity coming and being accepted without much pre-planning.

To do: Make sure it's within your capacity and tolerable risk limit levels.

A customers' behavior is one of the fundamental demographic to consider when marketing or selling to them.

Here below, are brief explanations of certain factors that influences their buying behaviour.

Cultural Factor:- Culture is the most fundamental determinant of a person's wants and behaviour. A person acquires their set of values, perception preference, and behaviours through certain key institutions such as family and others.

Hint. Things like nationality, religions, racial group, geographic regions and social classes should be considered when drafting your customers persona and market segmentation.

Social Factors:- Typically seen as reference group, this also has direct or indirect influence on a person's attitude and behavior (who in this case is your ideal customer).

Hint. Consider where they are spending most of their time... Is it with Family? Friend? Work?, with who... school mates? co-worker? family member? and how... Formally? Informally? Corporately? Executively? Elite?

Personal Factors:- A buyer's decisions are also influenced by personal characteristics. These include the buyer's age and stage in the life cycle, occupation, economic circumstances, lifestyle, and personality and self-concept.

Hint. Draw insight from the above listed info. Ask questions like at this age, stage, occupation, economy, etc what appeals more to their needs.

Psychological Factors:- A person's buying choices are influenced by four major psychological factors. These are Motivation, Perception, Learning, and Beliefs and attitude.

Hint. Motivation = hunger, thirst, discomfort, need for recognition, esteem belonging etc

Perception = * selective attention (finding out what a customer needs or anticipates will help keep their attention to you)

* selective distortion (twisting then placing info of customer's needs in a way that helps make them interpret it personally)

* selective retention (giving them info that supports their attitudes and beliefs)

Learning= This involves changes in an individual's behavior due to experience (therefore info them with what they can participate in so they can have a first-hand experience)

Beliefs and Attitude= * Belief is a descriptive thought a person holds about something.

* Attitude is a person's enduring favorable/unfavorable evaluations, feelings, and action tendencies towards something.

Summary.

When you are able to conjugate these factors into your marketing/selling strategy or plan, will will come back hitting the bullseye because of how narrowly specific you'd be marketing/selling to the right (ideal) customer.

Good morning and welcome again to #FridaysForFuture... How is your week going... Great? Okay! A brief story... Sometimes ago, one faithful morning, I woke up and sat up right on my bed. I had big plans for the day. I INTENDED to go on a date for the first time in 7 years since I and my ex parted ways.. I'm a very sensitive person so I had to take time to heal. My INTENTIONS where to close a deal with Obk my Gee, this guy hooks my up with the best NIKE footware that's in tuned with my style (for a person like me who needs to stand out! You've got to meet him). In the last article of #FridaysForFuture, we saw how PREPOSITION is an important principle in the journey of you GETTING STARTED.... Today!, we'll be looking at DECISION! a mental tool that's as much important.... Good day, I'm Reo and welcome again to another Reo Undaunted's Friday For Future.... During the week, I had a minor accident... I almost immediately fell ill when it happened. Being unwell all the while gave me some "alone time!" within each, I drew meaningful lessons from all I experienced. DECISION Decision (in this context) is the "Firmness of Conviction!". It is a term that describes "a determination arrived at after 'careful' consideration". Your next line of action after PREPOSITION. Even though you'll find through almost all communication mediums statements that claims an average adult male approx 35,000 decisions per day, I am more concerned about the ones made out of consideration with at least 75% of knowledge (gained) concerning what you are about to have a "firmness of conviction" about. This helps you to not only make a good decision that's based on knowledge (not only experience), but also helps you get back on your feet, when you fall, cross check what was undone when you go wrong, and keeps you pressing when what ought to be done was all rightly done. My advice! Take time to get the information (knowledge) needed in order to make a decision, with 75% of them focused on the right issues. Also make a journal along the way as you take the "bull by its horns". Let me leave you with this quote by Robert H. Schuller. "High achievers spot rich opportunities swiftly, make big decisions quickly and move into action immediately. Follow these principles and you can make your dreams come true". Until next time... In life, there are certain principles one must observe in other to move forward. These principles are consistent laws and theories, intangible or material that sets nature in motion and one of them is PREPOSITION ! PREPOSITION "verb" is to place (or be placed) in a location before some other EVENT occurs. (as extracted from the Wiktionary and it is available under the CC BY-SA 3.0 license) Inorder words, PREPOSITION is likened to the ANCHORAGING of a TEMPORARILY in other to Choose, Verify or Authentify the next set(s) of action(s) (EVENTS); such as where it's headed, or whether it's still enroute. As you go through journey, it is EXPEDIENT that you take time to PREPOSITION yourself for next phases of actions (event). This helps you to either avoid setting dangers or even plunge you into sudden opportunities. Like an arrow to be shot, even after the string has been drawn, few MOMENTS of PREPOSITION is observe before it is realsed. Why? To ascertain if it's still on track to the MARK, and to briefly momentarily OBSERVE is what's needed to take it the is still in order to (while yet in motion). I do say this "many road leads into the market but your own is the surest". My reason for the statement is, "even though the MARKET is the goal, choosimg the ROAD that will best suit your mission to the market, is the surest to you, you can do! Do you know, the MAJOR difference (by my standard) between Vision and Ultron in Avengers (days of Ultron) is an UNCHECKED DESIRE? Ultron had an unchecked desire that drove him (I mean it) into wanting to become a better VERSION of itself. It wanted by all means, by whatever way necessary to ACHIEVE its goal that, whatever the cost, it was determined to pay the price to fulfill its desire. It became DETRIMENTAL to itself at the end. An unchecked desire, passion or drive can lead you out of Plan and Destination you've been JUDICIOUSLY heading towards. It's akin to a saying "what's worth doing at all, is worth doing well". The reason why this is is because, there exists a thin IMAGINARY line between Good and Bad, Right and Wrong, Love and Lust , and with DESIRE, it's the line between rationale, the bounds of reasoning! It is the line separating ASSERTION and OBSESSION. When desire is unchecked, it plunges a person beyond the LIMITS that binds their reasoning, and as such BLINDS them from seeing what's wrong with the WAY they're are going about what they so much want. They become DELUDED of what should and what shouldn't. Compulsion PROPELS into a disastrous ending! Therefore always put a leach upon your desire, and constrain it within a GUIDED limit , if you can do this, then you'd save yourself from COMPULSION!!!
