The thing about grief is that there isn't an outlet for it. It takes different shapes and sizes with the sole intention of changing who you are.
You can grieve anything in your lifetime; a moment, a voice, a picture, a person, a smile, a laugh. A child. A book. The past and the future. Thoughts and feelings.
This tells me that life is synonymous with grief.
And most importantly - it never stops and who you are is , therefore, forever changing.
Can we truly condemn someone's way of filling that void? Whether softly or destructively.
