I love that phm subverted the trope of "disgraced genius scientist who has to slum it teaching at a public school instead of doing what he ACTUALLY wants to do which is genius science stuff" by having grace genuinely love teaching middle school. His happy ending is just teaching kids science like he did when his biology career ended back on earth. I'm not a teacher but a lot of my friends are and as someone who loves working with middle schoolers the end of the movie just makes me so happy!! Those are his kids!!
