New Home for Transformation Stories
Hello humans and objects. First and foremost, I want to thank you for your unwavering support of my transformation stories. It is wonderful to meet such amazing people who share the same love and enjoyment of this genre of stories. It means a lot to me.
Not long ago stories on this blog were made private and the lone post remaining indicated a re-evaluation would be taking place. I am happy to say the stories will keep flowing, but on a different medium. Repurpose Yourself is moving to DeviantArt, which is linked below.
Let me explain why.
Tumblr has been the home of Repurpose Yourself since 2021. It has offered an outlet for these unique stories to reach the masses - you, my supportive followers. And while it has been successful and helped grow interest in my perspective of transformation, Tumblr leaves a lot to be desired.
This website's coding removes significant control from blog owners the moment a post is reblogged. Believe it or not, once a user reblogs something, the post in its immediate form will remain unchanged forever. A post can be updated on the originating blog. But any iterations reblogged before that correction will not change, only the new version moving forward. It's an incredibly poor way to handle content on Tumblr. As creators, it's our right to publish, correct and remove freely.
In addition to this issue, some interactions with followers (or just casual readers) haven't been very kind. When it comes to publishing creative content, there will always be divergent views and harsh critiques. And that I do not take issue with. All comments are welcome. It's when critics level remarks that are not constructive and are counter to the critic's own actions on Tumblr. Essentially, they are hypocritical and not even aware of how they are framing things. They are blind to their actions, existing in a very narrow view where critical thinking isn't a consideration.
And after a while, it wears on a person. That's why this change is taking place. Moving to DeviantArt won't stop these types of comments. But it's a starting point for a new adventure.
With that said and now in the past, it's time to look forward. And the place to start is on DeviantArt. New stories will be posted there, including some old ones from this blog that I feel are worth porting over.
There's already new work there, so don't hesitate to click the link below and follow my page. Thank you for your understanding and support. You are all fine humans and objects.
