and his lovely pet, rosette as well! both of them turn eight years old today! first released on march 27, 2018.
his originating game, cookie run: ovenbreak, was far different at his release than it is today, and yet only in this modern era of ovenbreak is where he truly shined (both meta and story wise)! his buff and costume in 2024 truly made him a staple in many modes, and even after several SEVERAL updates of newer cookies as well as buffs for other existing cookies, you can still see him in meta breakout combis to this day.
of course ignoring the meta, also only very recently did he get actual story involvement in dessert paradise 1 (2023) and dessert paradise 2 (2024)... something i truly wouldn't have expected him to actually get outside of fan content. im still so grateful for that. and now, even if he doesn't get anything else in the future, i am very content with the direction devsisters took with him.
its been a good couple of years for the guy, and hopefully he'll prosper more in the coming years as well <3
We’re halfway through November so I’m posting this again! I made a promptlist for Harvey because my friend @flowery-draws couldn’t find one for October. So in December, everyone can participate in Doccember if they want! Fanart, fanfiction, sculpting, photography, gif sets, screenshots from the game…whatever gets your creative gears turning :3 you can do one prompt, half of them, all of them, as long as it sparks joy ✨
Some personal tips for working with a prompt list without stressing too much under the cut!
If you want, use #/doccember25 so other participants can find your work 🔎
Prompt lists are fun, but please take care of your limits! I nearly burnt myself out trying to complete Samtober, and I only managed 27/31 prompts because I was stuck at home, unemployed, and neglected every other creative project I had. Which in turn also made me sad because I wanted to complete those!
Things that might help:
Set yourself a goal, find out why you are wanna do this! Do you want to get better at completing something fast? Do you want to try something new? Do you just want to do something for the sweet doctor every day? Our goal should never be to complete it because of fomo. Few people complete a promptlist, and it should never be the standard. Do this so it’s enjoyment for yourself, not for others! If completing it is your main goal, set yourself a routine you can keep up even if you’re sad, or feeling sick, etc. don’t plan with the best case!
This is not the time for perfectionism! We are humans, not content machines! If you feel like completing these prompts stresses and frustrates you more than it makes you happy, reevaluate the goals of this challenge! Some of my favourite artworks from completing a prompt list were spontaneous doodles.
Don’t like a prompt, but want to create anyway? Make your own! Swap it out! Have fun! I’m not the prompt list police.
Like all the prompts, but can’t choose which to skip and which to keep? Combine them! Complete them after December! They don’t spoil after the month is over, good ideas are forever!
Feel like other people have better ideas? This is not a contest! There’s no jury! And chances are, these other people love your idea! I want y’all to enjoy a buffet of cakes ✨or in this case, Harveys.
“Oh, I misunderstood this prompt…”: there’s no right and wrong. The prompt was river, and you made something with a lake? Awesome! It was “festive” but you drew Harvey at a festival? Time to party!
