Character Aesthetics - Matt - âWhatâs cookinâ good lookin?â

â  right, yeah. because this is definitely my fault for not making            back up pies. you know, if you wanted a pie i wouldâve just made you one.            not that you ate my pie, because you would NEVER do something like            that to me. i need you to get the big bowl from the top shelf. i canât reach it.  â
â alright, honestly, you should know me BETTER by now,        punz. back up pies should have been the first thing you        thought about. alright, i admit to my wrong doing, but only        because you are totally guilting me into it.   you canât      just make super delicious pies, leave them out and expect      me to not even take a BITE. --- yes, ma'am. anything else? â
me: replies to sunny every other post to try to make it look as if we donât have a billion threads on our multis

â I need you to take your shirt off. For scientific purposes. â
     âWell, if itâs for science...â
pasterased.
â our survey says âââ DING DING !!! yes. rip the bandaid off. â
â itâs gonna hurt so much... i donât think iâm ready. â
warsraging.
âThe ones who donât sacrifice themselves     for the hero, sure.â He pretends to be caught     off guard by her question, acting as if heâs     thinking about the answer for a moment.     â      Handsome?âÂ
A roll of her eyes and an attempt at a unimpressed    attitude  is  shattered  as  a  chuckle  canât  help  but    escape  glossed  lips.  âHa ha,â  she  replies  with  a    sarcastic tone,  âWell, at least you still got a sense of    humor. Well, your sense of humor.  ------  You sure    youâre okay, handsome?â
observcr.
âitâs apparent to me that iâd probably be fired as your     friend for doing so.â she joked in return.
speaking from past experience (or lack of it, you could say), sherry didnât like drama. she didnât like the messiness of it all. and YET, she constantly dreamed up fantasy situations for her to play superhero and deal with all the stuff every pretty heroine did. a bit contradictory, to say the least. especially when you technically do have powers equivalent to that of being a human TARDIS.
âyou are seriously the sweetest though, for reals.            what did i DO to deserve you in my life?â she leaned            back in her chair and sighed. âi just always imagine            the stupid fictional romances for myself, but i canât            see myself doing well in a real relationship. i just            know what to EXPECT in my imaginary relationships,            you know? ugh, i feel so pathetic.â
      âyes, well, i TRY.â
her cool act barely lasts a full five seconds before she breaks character & instead falls to a fit of giggles.
âthanks, s. youâre okay, too. youâve done a great deal        of deserving things ----- but iâll throw it out right now        that if you ever want to repay me for my absolute        wonder of a presence, i accept cash or broadway        tickets.â she throws the other a smile before getting        a bit serious. âif thatâs PATHETIC, then i guess that        makes two of us. trust me, i get it. you know thereâs        nothing i love more than tv, and i guess eventually it        gets to a point where youâre so fixated on those fictional        worlds that you canât tell the difference between them        and reality anymore. i donât know if thatâs a good thing        or a bad thing, honestly.â
eventually, bianca had gotten kind of tired of all the same romance plots used for entertainment.  true, t here would always be at least ONE couple she would fall in love with, but very few have actually made her ârelationship goalsâ list.  soon enough,  the blonde had figured out that PLATONIC LOVE was just, if not more, important, yet rarely given the same attention.  maybe thatâs why her favorite trope had always been best friends to lovers. maybe thatâs why sheâs never really connect with anyone before.   maybe thatâs why sheâd rather watch it, or talk about it with her best friend, instead of actually live it. she just hoped sherry could see that.
âseriously,  donât worry about it.  i guess love will          find us when it finds us. until then, i got you, you          got me. who needs more?â

The smile when he sees her is almost immediate    Jessâs enthusiasm was pretty contagious, and Matt was already quite pumped to begin with. âAlright! Chipotle, here we come!!â he announces excitedly as he begins to drive. âNot gonna lie, I was desperately looking for an excuse not to study tonight     and Chipotle is definitely better than math. So I guess I should thank you for saving me from a really boring night.â
His adorable matched enthusiasm earns a chuckle out of the blonde as she pulls down the sun visor to get herself together. You never know who you could see while out and about, right? âYou know you can always count on me to liven up your night,â Jess agrees with a smile as she adjusts her hair. âChipotle is better than a lot of things ------ but especially math. I mean, I totally support  you  studying  and  shit  for your future and Iâm super proud of you for it,  but Iâm glad I can pull you away for a very delicious break. Speaking of, howâre your studies going, anyway? Besides math, of course.â
oK IâVE BEEN SUPER BAD HERE I KNOW iâve been getting my punz back up cause sheâs my main but i promise to get things going here again this week
escapiiing.
âUnless that twitter feed includes a hashtag thatâs going to save your grades, I REALLY doubt itâs worth those extra ten minutes youâre wasting of my time, Jess. Believe it or not, I have actual studying to do. For the exam, remember? That thing that grades us and tells us if weâre passing?â She removes her frames, lowering them to the table before rubbing her face with both hands, a loud sigh escaping her lips. "Youâll be more excluded if you donât PASS, Jess! Canât you just check your twitter when you get home? Or on your way there? What could be that important, anyway?â
âWhatâs so important?! Faith Miller is potentially pregnant but since she cheated on her boyfriend -- TWICE -- everyoneâs gonna start placing bets on who the father is --- My moneyâs on Jeff. I mean, word on the street is he works wonders, if you know what I mean ----â Okay, okay, donât worry, Ashley. Jess knows her boundaries. Most of the time. âAlright. Iâm sorry. What question were we on again?â Itâs not like sheâs gonna really pay attention, but sheâll try for the sake of friendship.Â

she opens the backdoor of her car to toss her backpack in, only to have her heart stop at the sight of a figure that isnât supposed to be there. the alarm bells in her head ring almost immediately, and she shrieks as she hits the person with her backpack ( as if that would drive them away ).
he wakes with her scream, but before he has time to really process anything, heâs being hit on with a backpack. man, can life give him a break? âwoah, woah!!â heâs instant to protest to the beating as he gets up from his awkward sleeping position in the backseat ( which is definitely gonna ache for the rest of the day ) to face the owner of his current bed. âi know iâm kinda not supposed to be here, but damn, what do you have in that bag? bricks?â it honestly probably didnât even hurt that much, but câmon. itâs morning. he just woke up. heâs gonna be grumpy.
calliopeisms.
âoh great, those are one of my favorites too.      though, iâm more of a snickerdoodle gal.â evan      says with a light laugh. âsure, definitely.â she      makes her way to the other side of the counter      to where the bowl of cookie dough was. âcouldnât      sleep.â she replies a little too quickly. âa cup of      sleepytime tea usually does the trick but⊠warm      cookies sound just as good. âhow about you?â
âooh, yes! maybe we can make this a weekly     thing and make those next time.â   she was     going to try and pass it off as a joke with her     smile, but sheâs secretly hoping it somehow     becomes  a  reality.   she  was  always  for     befriending kind strangers.  âoh, me too. iâve     always been kind of an insomniac,â the blonde     responds with a shrug. âby the way, iâm bianca!     itâs super nice to meet you.â   she widens the     smile already on her features and extends her     hand in greeting. âyouâre evan, right?âÂ
kind of reeeeeeally wanna add a lizzie bennet diaries based jane to muse list sos

âWell, we can go get some coffee now, if you want. Iâd love some myself, actually.â She smiles a little, nudging his shoulder. âWe might get to see a dog on the way, too.â
âYou sure know the way to my heart, Blue.â Clint smiles back as he rises from his seat, offering his hand to help her up from hers. âOh man, donât even get my hopes up on that. If I donât see a dog at least once a day, I honestly think it would kill me. Itâs a good thing I have Lucky, otherwise Iâd be dead. And where would the world be without me?" In fact, that reminds him. Heâs totally gonna use his Avengers discount for that coffee.

Itâs no great loss. Mike doesnât really sleep peacefully that much anymore, truth be told. Even now, when heâs doing better, itâs rare that he sleeps soundly through the entire night. All these bad memories hounding him, still managing to fuck him up even though heâs convinced himself that theyâre all just fake. Distractions from whatever really did happen up there, something to save him from the real nightmares.Â
He still feels the claws on his neck, still feels the heat from the burning monster trying to devour him. Most nights, Mike wakes up covered in a sheen of sweat. Tonightâs no different, but at least the buzzing of his phone serves as a decent distraction from the bad dreams. He looks at the screen, sees Jessâ name, and finds himself so very thankful.Â
He sits up and presses the phone to his ear. She starts talking right away.
âItâs okay,â he tells her with a small shake of the head. âI wasnât sleeping anyway. Whatâs up?â
Sheâs got half a mind to just hang up and pretend this never happened before he even has a chance to respond, but the familiar sound of his voice keeps her still. His words of reassurance instantly calm her, and she flashes back to the night where his voice was the only hope she could grip to. He had come for her. She had heard his screams, she had seen him for the few seconds she had gained consciousness before falling down the goddamn shaft again, fucking her up even more, but he had tried. She remembered. She doubts sheâll ever forget.Â
They hadnât really talked for some time. In fact, she hadnât talked to a lot of people. Doctors, therapists, family? Sure, she tried. But no one understood. It was almost cruel how the only ones who KNEW had become so unreachable. In their defense, Jess hadnât really attempted it as best as she could have. Her current situation was turning out to be quite a wild card in the recent events of her life, but she wasnât about to give it up --- not now that she already put Mike through the trouble.Â
âOh.â She shouldnât be surprised, really. She doubted any of the survivors had had it any easier than she did. âUh --- I couldnât sleep. I donât know why I called, really, I just thought --- I donât know.â The blonde admits with a sigh. âUm... Howâve you been? Itâs been a while.âÂ
