Assalamu'alaikum can u share with us some of ur values u think are important?

Wa’alaikumsalam Warahmatullah Wabarakatu,

I pondered on this for a few days and here are some of the values that I think are essential (I strive to uphold these principles and values every day, but might still fall short):

To do everything, fisabilillah. To treat every action as a chance to do ibadah.

Having patience and gratitude even in the toughest circumstances.

Compassion and kindness towards every one, especially parents, spouses, family and teachers.

To know your purpose, then spend your life serving & contributing.

To remember that honesty and goodness always triumphs

To learn, re-learn, let go and move forward. Always.

Seoul was 10°C that day, pretty cold to make my teeth chattering. Even so, what was captured by my lens that day strangely made me feeling warm inside.

Throwback to one fine day when I finally unlocked one of my ultimate wishlists for 2017: 

Go for a solivagant trip! 

and tbh, what I’ve got from this trip was truly exceptional. Going solo doesn’t indicate that you are lonely nor you don’t enjoy travel companion. Going solo is mere another good way to know yourself better. As you travel solo, you become more aware of your capability to be out of your comfort zone. As you travel solo, you give trust to yourself to be more responsible for any unexpected things ahead. and as you did it, you gotta love yourself more.

P.S. In this video, I was visiting Dunnotar Castle in Stonehaven, which inspired the setting of DunBroch Castle featured in #bravedisneymovie. The city of Aberdeen was actually my next visit, but too bad I ran out of my camera’s battery on my way to Aberdeen. Couldn’t take a proper video tho, but I can tell you that Aberdeen is such a worth visit whenever you have a chance to.

Hal yang paling disenengin setelah balik ke Indo lagi adalah kumandang azan, iqamah dan bacaan sholat imam mesjid yang bisa kedengeran jelas sampe ke rumah.

It's been one of the most grateful years of my life, for all the good and bad things happened. One thing for sure, I learned a lot this year, like A LOT! Kindness could come from anyone, even from strangers, even if you look different among the crowds - I still believe that kindness is a universal language! I learned that people, moments, feelings and seasons are temporary, but the true ones remain the same. I learned that things don't always go as I planned, and that's totally fine. I learned that no matter how difficult things seem or how powerless I feel to make it through, I can't give up, I just need to keep going. In the end, I realised that a year can do a lot to a person. Thank you for the lessons and thanks so much for making it so hard to say goodbye.

Who am I to judge others while now I'm walking imperfectly

Having an easy conversation and kindly asking them about what was happened would not be that hard, right? If they don’t want to tell you the truth, it’s okay. That’s their choice. It’s surely much better than being fooled by your not-always-right judgement.

Let me tell you a glimpse about Marburg. The old town of Marburg.

Marburg is one of towns in Hessen State. It takes about two hours away by regular train from Kassel. Both Marburg and Kassel are located in Hessen, we just can buy one price ticket of 32 euros for up to five passengers, people called it Hessen-Ticket. So, we only pay around 6.4 euros per person and voila! It is a return ticket :D Yeaaay. But still expensive in IDR tho.

Well, this town is sooo medieval. Narrow alleys at the upper town and crooked timbered houses below Landgrave’s Castle are all the things your eyes could see. The Russian poet, Boris Pasternak, who spent a semester studying in Marburg in 1912, put this feeling into words: “If it were but a town! But it is a medieval fairytale.” I couldn’t agree more with Pasternak. I thought I fall in love with this town at the first sight. And I really miss it now.

This photo I took during my hiking trip to Landgrave’s Castle. One fact, the road climbs up steeply to the town square (city center) and there are lots of steps leading up to the castle.
