Plant Yourself in Jesus
If you have any idea into the basics of gardening, you’d know that planting a seed in bad soil isn’t going to do any favors to the seed you planted. Even if you were to look at a plant growing in under-nourished soil, you’d realize that it had definitely seen better days. Plants aren’t self-sufficient. They depend on the nourishment they get from the soil that they are planted in. When the ground that they are planted in is healthy, naturally the plant itself grows as it should and eventually bears fruit.
We are no different. We aren’t self-sufficient and we have to depend on something or someone if we are to grow. Living in the kind of society that we are in right now, there are so many places that we can plant ourselves in. The world offers so many quick ways and means to grow and offers happiness in the process as well. We love achieving happiness in the easiest way possible so we are naturally inclined to lean towards the offers of the world. But in the middle of all of this, there is God too, who offers to lighten our burden and to provide us with rest from the chaos (Matthew 11:28). He doesn’t promise that life is going to be a breeze but He does promise us that we will find ourselves joyful even in the midst of pain and troubles. That’s definitely not something the world says it can do.
But at the end of the day, if you think about it, God offers you much more than what the world does. Why? Because what the world has to offer you is merely temporal while God promises us something that is truly eternal. So where do you find yourself planted today?

Be strong and let your heart take courage, All you who hope in the LORD. - Psalm 31:24
In all honesty, life is not easy and I can tell that to you through my own experiences. But this is not just the case for myself but is the same for so many others around as well. Sometimes things can just get too overwhelming that we wish that we can give up and call it quits. We want the good that we want to see in our lives and so we pursue it as much as we possibly can. But nothing seems to change and God does not seem to do much either.
But the truth that we fail to take into consideration is that all things that are good don’t come easy and we should learn to never expect God to spoon-feed us and give us handouts. Even in life, we never learn anything productive that way. It is only in our struggles and challenges that we learn through it all and we become people who are stronger and most of all, we become individuals with integrity and meaning. So in that case, what should we do when things get rough for us?
The Bible tells us to take heart and to go forward with courage and place our faith and trust in the Lord. The Lord having carried each and everyone of us through so much, will only continue to do the same for us because we matter to Him. It is definitely not easy to fill our hearts with courage overnight but we can get there slowly but surely if we reach out to God and ask for His help. He Lord never turns a deaf ear to our prayers and His will for our lives will work out just as He intends. All we need to do is believe and trust God that He does all things for our good.
The Lord has taken care of me to this day and I know He will tomorrow and forever as well. He cares for you just the same. Praise God for His goodness.

Keep honoring God with your life, stay in peace, trust His timing and God will open doors that no man can shut.
We have a reason to celebrate life every single day because the God we serve is alive. His resurrection power didn’t end on the cross 2000 years ago; His power is still at work today. Not only did He resurrect Jesus from the dead, but He wants to extend His resurrection power into every single area of your life, too.
Maybe you have a dream to get out of debt, pay off your house or be free from a burden of lack, but it looks impossible. Business is slow. The economy is down. You’ve gone as far as your education allows. But God is saying, “I’m not limited by those things. I’ve got resurrection power. I can give you one break that will thrust you to a new level. I can open up doors that no man can shut. I can bring talent out of you that you didn’t know you had. I can cause people to go out of their way to want to be good to you for no reason.”
Today, get your hopes up. Get your expectancy up. Remember, He is risen, and He is alive. There’s a shift coming, and He is faithful to His Word. Let His resurrection power flow in every area of your life!
