tbh i think quadrants get over-complicated. its just the alien equivalent to your propagandized white suburban nuclear family. enforced by the condesce (who has taken on the appearance, subsequent ideals of representation, of betty crocker. notoriously anti sex.) and endorsed by karkat (known bootlicker. someone who benefits heavily from this dynamic and the misogyny it breeds). its the fascist need to keep you in a system. makes it mechanical and efficient - all your postive / negative feelings are compartmentalized, discouraged to feel too much in any one place.
not to say the quadrant system, cant, wont, never works - its not like a married man and woman and their few biological children cant live in harmony - but thats not the point [insert meta commentary of how these systems are simply metaphors and self-referencing symbology and not meant to be taken as serious worldbuilding within the foundation homestuck lays etc etc etc]
was thinking about the hemo spectum. ive never kept up with any projects that world build for the trolls so idk what the general consensus is. but from what i think - there is no 12-color spectrum. its a color wheel and the concept of sub-colors [ie cerulean.] is mostly interpersonal. the wheel bleeds into itself ! thats why you have equius, vriska, terezi all labelled blue-bloods but you have vriska parading as cerulean or terezi saying shes too teal for their tastes.
the only True Castes are the two opposing matriarchal roles ie the heiress [fuschia] and those who serve the mother grub [jade green]. which is why both colors are remarked as being rare.
i think to be heiress you must also tick the box of being a seadweller (though its mostly speculation) with the idea of purple / violet [gamzee, eridan] sharing the same broad color but only distinguished between troll race / mutation. on the opposite side a fuschia land-dweller could teeter within the rust category. but more realistically any true fuschia would just be culled lol
jade should be specifically noted as jade **green** which gives implication of anything not quite jade is labelled simply as green ! where nepeta and presumed lime bloods fall under.

so for castes youd have;
rust | green | blue | purple
then fuschia and jade green as shade-role specific castes. lime is also noted as its own but thats due to the extermination. the branding of specific shades that Could have greater implied weight. but only fuschia and jade green are noted with importance.
the distinctions between colors gets blurred and mostly arbitrary which is the point of it being a wheel ! solluxs blood gets noted as yellow / gold / mustard and i could see him under the rust bloods but his tint also leans towards green ie nepeta. terezi follows with the blue bloods but she herself says she doesnt quite fit! teal, again, tinted with green. maybe a fuschia landdweller could get away with being a purple blood - maybe they lean too red. all depends on the circumstance
basic premise of My Dubiously Canon Retcon Au is that after leaving the doomed timeline. things go good. Until They Dont. john fucks up the retcon and suddenly theyre on the alphas earth, pre-apocalypse, with key stipulates of the game suddenly upheaved (roxy and dirk not being sent to the future. jake not in contact. jane is a suspiciously Normal girl.) and they have to weigh the cost of trying to fix the timeline and Continue to Face Consequences or stay as it is. And Also Face Consequences.
