“I have…no idea what a pillow is….but it sounds good.“ Raik blinks, watching the odd thing on this….human’s? face change. “I am Raik….you don’t have to apologize.”

They pat the strange human’s shoulder somewhat roughly, but you could tell they were trying to be reassuring by the look on their face. “Most humans are confused by my kind, so I am not surprised. Though I only know this by word of other Berrake’s….not from my own experience.”

Raik looks around a bit, before looking back at Visitor, “Now…who are you? And….where am I? I don’t remember a place like this anywhere near my territory.”

“Well, Raik, you’re not exactly the kind of folk I see crossing the street everyday, either.” He responded reassuringly, wincing at the touch of the Berrake for a moment before his nerves calmed. “I haven’t been in this world long, but I know about enough to give you the general idea of where you are, at least. This, well, is an isolated island on the planet Earth; an island I’ve graciously bestowed the name Apollo.”

“As for how you got here,” Visitor continued, pressing his cheek against his fist as a gentle smile flickered on his screen, “I’m not so sure. This world of mine is notorious for.. well, multiverse instabilities. Thus, there are a few.. rift-related possibilities as to how you set your feet upon this land without knowing of its very existence.” He reached his arms out and gestured to the vast landscapes of Apollo island, taking it all in as he continued on.

 “To put it in perspective, you’re either from this world, or you’re not. Not to be alarming or anything.”

“Right, right.. over and done with.” He repeated absentmindedly, nodding along and tossing his hands back into his pockets. Well, he didn’t really know what to say here; since he’d begun to recollect his senses after returning to this world, dwelling on all the weird things he’d said just made conversing with old acquaintances even harder. “So you two landed on your feet? Moreso than you had.. already landed on.. them.”

“I’m glad to see you’re doing alright. I’ve been, err.. getting along. Though, I have taken notice to this ‘Agency’, and it makes me curious. What’s so special about them, exactly?” The Visitor placed a hand on his chin, casually reaching for a bottle of ketchup with his other hand. He was thirsty, and okay, so maybe he hadn’t entirely overcome his overwhelming crazy. But he was thirsty!

“Oh?” Visitor turned, looking up at the Berrake with a blank expression flickering on the visor of his helmet. How long had they been there? Nonetheless, he definitely didn’t mind the company. “Jell-o? It’s like, a goopy pillow.. that you eat.”

“Now that I describe it, it sounds disgusting,” He shook his head in shame, “but it’s a lot better than it sounds. Wait, who are you?” The spaceman brushed himself off, glancing over the other with curiosity made clear on his screen. “Apologies for the informality but I’m, well, a bit.. what’s the scientific term? Confused as hell.”
