Can you share any information on octewo? What happened to it, what societies live in it now?
Before I say anything, let me just say thank you so so much for asking. It brings great joy to any creator to be asked about their works. Beware, I will ramble. This will be long.
-what happened to Ocewto?
This also bleeds into the question of what societies live in it, but essentially there used to be a highly technical city called Hireath, it was inclined to scientific research regarding space travel and interdimensional travel.
And to be brief, a series of events occurred surrounding a character named Rune, and one of the major scientific facilities (Given the city's architecture, this building would encompass half of the city itsef) took off and went into orbit around Ocewto. But the takeoff blasted directly off the planets surface.
Given the planets smaller size the explosion shot to the planets core, and by any scientific rules, the planet should have exploded and died. But, it did not. and nobody knows why.
The aftereffects of this, however, lead to the life on Ocewto to split between the two halves, as the permafrosted ground in between is insanely unstable and deadly (nicknamed Deadmans Land by those who live close). The Lower half of Ocewto suffers from gravitational instability that varies depending on where you go. The Higher half of it has spotty atmosphere, making some places higher up impossible to breathe.
-what societies live there now?
Ocewto, is a place with 'magic'. Therefore, many different creatures reside there.
People make up a good portion of it, though not all have magic. Some are born with a stronger connection to different elements around them. It can be affected by genetics, heritage to a shifter, where they were born, and other means. But there is no definite way of predicting which connection-if any- a child may have.
'Shifters' come in many different forms. Two most notable are the half-dragons and the werewolves (But they don't really like to be called that as actual werewolves are something MUCH scarier). But a Shifter can be connected to any kind of animal, and will usually gravitate to packs of other shifters of their kind. Zanavians are the most reclusive, and not much are known about them. Very rarely are they human-to-animal shifters, they are just a creature that can change their appearence, instead of a full transformation from A to B.
On to the actual societies, I've majorly fleshed out two different nations, but for the sets of creatures i have a few more if you would be interested in that.
the Numoan Empire refers to the Mountain, Mt. Numoa, that the empire's capital resides. It is one of the oldest and most powerful human nations. Mt. Numoa is a vast peak on an isolated island, and the entirety of it is split between three cities, Dunaro (the caves within), Meyin (the snowy peak) and Roxia (the islands coast and sea port), each having their own significance. The mountain is shared with one of the dragon clans, and the two have been in balance for centuries. it is most known for its incredible stone cities carved directly into the mountainside.
it may be younger that the Numoan Empire, but it is built on the most ancient of sacred grounds. The garden of glass, the temple of Scithia, and the Caverns. They all surround the worship of a deity representing change, a huge symbol for the shifters and is often represented in the changing of seasons. It's known as one of the kinder nations, and least active in war.
those two are the ones i have enough information to share on. I could make more posts about specific species and places that i don't have a history on yet. But i will always love gorging information about my writing.
