The autumn air was a bit crisp today. Not unusual, the weather got cold early this year. There was a light sprinkle of snow, but it melted instantly the second it touched the ground. Some people seemed nervous about it, given the sudden decent of a rather horrid winter storm just the previous year. It was natural to be cautious after such an event.
Habiki hustled through the streets, carrying a small bag and two cups of coffee in a drink carrier. He hurriedly entered Jun's place of work when he finally reached it, shaking out his hair to release it of any snow. The snow may be melting on the ground, but it absolutely clung to him. Again, it's not a surprise. He was so cold that he was practically a magnet to the stuff. He took a deep breath. Briefly, he set down the bag to fix his face mask, grabbing the bag again and continuing to the reception desk.
".. Jun left his lunch again," His voice was raspy from lack of use, and his eyes just slightly squinted behind his glasses while he tried to adjust to the difference in lighting. When given the all-clear, he continued on, heading right to the man's office. He knocked lightly on the door, not wanting to interrupt anything further as he stood outside, looking very much like a lost puppy as he did so.
...Who did Jun say his patient for this hour was? Eh, probably no one he knew, so this shouldn't be too big of a deal. Just enter, drop off the coffee and food, and then leave. Simple enough, right?
Nozaki would be sitting in a chair, he felt the cold breeze graze his neck before habiki even entered as He'd turn to face his old friend
"...hello kei."
Kei seized up immediately, going from relaxed to tense in mere seconds. He swallows audibly, but no words come out of his mouth. Instead, all he could really do was stare owlishly at Yu. He glances between Yu and Jun before slowly setting the things in his hand before he dropped them thanks to the tremble that was building.
".. Y—" He stopped himself from saying his name, it felt... wrong to for some reason. He clears his throat. "..Nozaki. It's.. uh- I.. I didn't — Apologies for the intrusion I can... leave."
"You don't have to. Doc is out of the building getting some more of those little strawberry candies he likes keeping in that little bowl... why, you avoiding me?"
Nozaki would stare blankly
"I.. see."
He glances around the room a bit, anywhere but him, and fixes his face mask a few times out of clear habit and an attempt to self soothe. He's nervous, and try as he might to hide it he knew Nozaki can read him like an open book.
"It's.. not my intention. I just- ..I don't know. I didn't think you wanted to see me."
"Mmm...no, in fact I believed it the other way around. I thought it was you who didn't want to see me."
Yu would stare at habiki like a cat, just a fixed gaze
Kei would seem a bit shocked, blinking a few times but unable to meet Yu's gaze.
"Oh. That's..." He managed a small chuckle. "No wonder Jun was trying to get me to talk to you so much–"
