Turning on her heel, Ming was on him within seconds, gently forcing him back down onto the cot. She’s just glad he didn’t fall off completely this time. That last time was a bad one.

Ming, along with Rubii, her teams medic, had dressed whatever wounds the tiny Invader had sustained. Her friend told Ming that Zim was lucky to not have an entire broken skeleton, if not have most of his body in temporary braces. But it came as no surprise to Ming, who knows from past experiences that Zim has the resilience of a damn cockroach. While not broken, his overall skeleton was bruised, and he had a major concussion.

Rubii gave him stronger stuff on purpose. She knew that having someone like Zim in their base of operations would be a recipe for disaster if he wasn’t drugged the fuck up. As he is now, he’s simply an annoyance, like a child throwing a tantrum at the prospect of a nap-time they obviously need. That and... well, anything to make it easier on Ming, who insisted on being the one responsible for looking after him. 

Most of her team-mates agreed, on the grounds that it was only fair, and they didn’t really want to try and fight Ming on it. Now, most of her friends don’t know anything about her past. But what they do know, is that they can’t stop Ming from helping someone in need if they tried. Once she has her mind set on something, she can be a might stubborn. So it was best to just let her handle it, while they handled her paperwork.
