I just wanted a place I could talk about the things I think about when rewatching the series or movies I love.

I finished another Netflix nonsense show that started out SO STRONG but the ending was ASS. Anyway. I'm convinced they have great ideas but don't know how to write an ending. The show is called "Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen".

Without giving too much away -

The premise is that you aren't really sure if the supernatural elements are real or not until the very end. But the dialogue and communication between the characters is so unrealistic. Especially between the two we (as the audience) assume love each other so much they are getting married.

And then the back and forth that happens during said wedding made me actually want to throw up. And the scream I screamed when she didn't do the thing that she had been planning to do I was convinced she had it coming at that point.

The Duffer Brothers don't know how to write women. The Duffer Brothers don't know how to write an ending. Maybe all they know is how to pitch ideas. They were executive producers on this and this ending has their style all over it

The only part of euphoria that I do like as a show is that is shows that recovery is not a destination. Relapse is apart of the recovery too for addicts. Starting over from the beginning. Sisyphus pushing the bolder back up the mountain. The rock doesn’t always slide back down but it always has the potential to slide back down and when it does you eventually make the decision to get clean again. Other than that the show is ass. Kat is 16 years old what the hell is wrong with these show writers

When Bill Compton finally died I screamed at my screen because it had been taking so long but the only word to describe the feeling I had when he finally died was bliss. Just pure bliss. It’s finally over. Also that ending was ass

Tara Thornton deserved better than an off screen death in the first half of the the first episode of the last season of this god forsaken series. The FANS deserved better than an off screen death. No one but her horror of a mother mourned her. Pam even barely got the chance. Fuck the writers they did my girl dirty

So… lemme get this straight. Not only in the 6 month time skip do we get Sookie and Alcide Herveaux magically get together and are just now, in time for the audience to see it, having issues. But Sam has been elected Mayor and everyone in the town has collective amnesia about the fact that he is a shifter even though most of them know at this point. Also the book thing with Bill? wtf?

Season 6 of True Blood is complete character assassination of Sookie’s parents for no reason. They went from having the parents killed in a flood to having them killed by a fae vampire prince to being killed by a fae vampire prince because they were actually trying to murder Sookie. Wtf is happening

It’s very interesting to me when Big Bang Theory decides to touch on the “there will never be a cure for illness as long as there is profit in medicine” conversation through Penny, and Bernadette. It is always plaid off as a joke because Penny has to sell the medicine to the unsuspecting “customers” (patients) and Bernadette gets to know all the horrible things that “test subjects” (people) went through in order to develop the medications. It’s just such a heavy topic and it is one that not many people would be able to write about let alone write a joke about in a way that didn’t make us hate the characters. Yet here we are.

I remember when I was growing up that I wanted to write a book about my life. I felt like I needed to be able to write something about everything that had happened to me so when watching Diane talk about turning her damage into “good damage” it spoke to that part of me. Because I felt like I needed to do something with all of the horrible things that happened to me or it didn’t mean anything. It was just damage. And I was just damaged. But that episode helped me realize that not all people do extraordinary things all the time. Your damage does not diminish your ability to do extraordinary things. Your extraordinary things do not need to be seen in order to be appreciated. Know that

Tommy saying to Sam with his dying breath “You were the best part of my life” puts so much into what his life was like prior to Sam showing up.
