Hello!

IDK if anyone still cares about this blog, but if you do, Rewrite Universe is coming back! I’m now at rewrite-universe-official, and I’ll be posting all-new content for this silly AU soon! It’ll be a slow startup, but I hope, if you go there, you’ll enjoy what I have to offer! (And yes, if you go there right when this is posted, it’s very empty, with not even an icon. It’s a WIP...)

RU will be getting a new art style, by the way - and some new and improved redesigns for the characters! It’ll come together soon enough.

Update!

Hello! This is coming rather late, but better late than never, I suppose.

This blog has been on a bit of a hiatus, and it will stay on hiatus for a while longer. I’m not sure how much longer exactly, but it WILL come back - I promise!

I’ve been reworking the RU story since the movie came out, and with Steven Universe Future to deal with, it still needs more tweaking.

I’m also coming up with a new art style for this blog! This is both because my main blog’s art style has changed several times now and I don’t want to mess up this blog by constantly shifting styles, and because I want to streamline the designs a bit more. So be prepared for that when it happens, haha.

Thank you all for continuing to follow this blog - it started out as a silly little idea of mine, and I never expected to have more than two or three followers, let alone 35(which is where the count stands as of posting this)! I hope you don’t mind this little break I’m taking to clean things up, and again, thank you very much!

Finally for the initial main cast, we have Peedee! Yes: in Rewrite Universe, Peedee becomes a very prominent character!

He doesn’t change much - just gets taller and is given nicer shoes. (I don’t like canon Peedee’s shoes...) But his role in the story changes a lot!

And Sapphire for RU! Or, as she is now known, Sodalite!

Let me explain.

So, Rubies and Sapphires IRL are the same gem, just in different colours. Because of this, I feel like it doesn’t make a lot of sense for them to make a totally different gemstone when fused. So, for Rewrite Universe, Sapphire becomes a Sodalite - which, by the way, also has connections to clairvoyance!

Sapphire’s character doesn’t change too much, just her name and look. So if you love Sapphire, I hope you’ll also love Sodalite!

Here’s Ruby for Rewrite Universe! Her design is a bit different - her outfit, mostly. I wanted her to look sporty and rough-and-tumble, and I wanted to implement the Crystal Gem star in her look too.

Garnet for RU! Garnet changes quite a bit physically - her low ponytail and tunic-top are two notable elements that change. These were added to bring in a bit of Sapphire’s* outfit into her design.

*Ruby and Sapphire will be shown shortly; Sapphy changes quite a lot... ^^

Pearl for Rewrite Universe! She’s an Akoya Pearl in RU, which doesn’t actually change much of anything. She’s also more much colourful than a typical Akoya(although still more subdued than canon Pearl), which will be explained one day...

Amethyst for Rewrite Universe! She doesn’t change TOO much, but there are notable variations from canon. Especially the fanny pack.

Three of Rose’s forms from Rewrite Universe! The third is the form she was in when she passed. She’s a Star Rose Quartz in RU, which is why she was a high-status soldier before rebelling - she had a multitude of powers that regular Quartzes did not possess. She is also very, very pink, and I had a hard time picking distinct shades to go next to each other...

To kick off this blog, here’s Steven’s design in Rewrite Universe!

He looks almost identical to canon Steven, other than his changed gem(shown beside him); he is also a bit darker-skinned, because in RU, Steven is of Argentinean and Jewish descent, on his dad’s side!

Welcome to Rewrite Universe! This is an AU that essentially reworks the entirety of the Steven Universe series, because I had many ideas for plots and fusions that just don’t line up with canon SU. It will be similar, but also very different, to canon SU. I hope you enjoy it!
