Rey Movie Ramblings

Here’s my current take on the new announcement for the Rey movie. And here’s something that I would not mind them doing if they do it right. 

I must tread carefully here…

IMHO, I don’t think we will be getting Ben in the flesh, and even if we do, I’m not sure what they would do regarding Reylo. They were pretty conflicted regarding the pair in TROS, so I don’t think it’ll go much further than the kiss. I’m not even sure if Ben will be mentioned in the movie (which would be ODD considering they made the effort to literally tell us they are “two that are one”)

HOWEVER, 

If they have to do something with these sequel characters and start fresh after the Rey movie, I would not mind Rey joining Ben in the force somehow, perhaps killed by a new evil, or sacrificing her life to save her new generation of trainees. (I know this sounds bleak, and this is not necessarily what I want, it’s just what could be somewhat realistic). We would still have a Reylo ending, with Rey and Ben as one in the Force, and then DLF could just FINISH their stories. 

I would like to see Ben and Rey reunited without death, maybe in WBW but I unfortunately doubt that Disney would do something so good. 

I would love to discuss thoughts/ideas/predictions further!

I agree, I think if we get Ben it will be a force ghost. I don't think we'd get any more romantic than the kiss in the TROS but it would be nice to watch them interact more.

Daisy Ridley confirmed in new Star Wars film with "likely" return of Adam Driver as Ben Solo

Daisy Ridley made a surprise appearance at the London Star Wars Celebration to confirm her return to her role as Rey in a new movie set 15 years after the events of The Rise of Skywalker. The story is to follow Rey on her journey to restore the Jedi order.

The popularity of Kylo Ren means that fans have already begun wondering if Adam Driver will reprise his role.

I know nothing has been confirmed but this is beyond exciting news. After The Rise of Skywalker, I was sure none of those actors would ever reprise their role. Boy am I happy to have been wrong!!!

If Adam Driver does show up in this film, my guess is that he would likely be appearing in the form of a force ghost.
