|| How God Turns Our Pointless Pursuits into His Great Promise ||

At some point, we lose grip of what God really wants for us and we pursue things that we like doing.

I remember before coming to Macau, i had a lot of plans for my future. Some of my wildest dreams were to pursue a career in the events industry abroad, to become a cake artist, a car owner, learn photography, become a make-up artist, to write, sing full time one day, a freelancer maybe, explore the world, to save a lot of money, if i get bored, can’t i just get married? Bla bla bla.. the possibilities seemed endless.

Mind you, when i came here, it wasn’t the life that i was expecting. I started working for a job that is way far from my plans, at times, a bit compromising to what my faith was. I was ungrateful. And my dreams became too impossible.

BUT I thank God that whatever journey we go through, as long as we are One with Him, he will make ALL things new. He will bless whatever it is that He has placed in your hands. Our dreams are important to God, but He desires that we have more than that. He wants us to gain understanding of who He is, His plan for our life, our very purpose. More than just gaining the things in and of the world, He wants us to have life to the full.

✨What are the dreams you have and you want to achieve? Are they in tune with God’s greatest commandment? Ask God about them, and ask Him to guide you. His nature is to give.

His kindness is beyond imagination.

That is Jesus. The One who stands by you all the time.

✨The Greatest Command of God to us:

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” - Matthew 22:37-40

For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. ✨Will God fulfill my dreams too?

“But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.

I’ll just sit and watch I’ll follow my dreams And make plans

I didn’t have to do it all alone Or nothing will come right through Thankful as i look to You It is now me and You, Oh, plus, the people You love too.

I have a lot of friends who are Christian and loves watching horror movies. Been there, done that. I actually had a season wherein i would still watch it even after having accepted the Lord Jesus in my life.

But time goes by, i started feeling uneasy and sought the Lord’s counsel of why i was still watching it. I reasoned to him saying, “Ah Lord, I’m with you. i fear no evil.” Still, after watching it i would feel drained emotionally and worse, defeated.

This is why..

The Lord did not ask us to seek evil things nor does He challenge us to see if we still have fear over a horror movie.

This is what He lovingly teaches us.

•• “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” - Ephesians 5:15-17 ••

✨If we really want to flourish in His courts we must know what to spend time on.

•• “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.”

- Jeremiah 29:11-12

✨I think that all horror movies are packed with evil thoughts. Fear wins after watching it. That’s not part of God’s plan.

✨I stand not to convince you of anything except to seek the Lord all your life. I desire that you read and learn from what the Lord has taught me on this matter. This is His loving correction that I experienced firsthand.

Lord, is my name really written in the book of life? Subtle yet clear answers

“Yes, you are.”

Really, but what if i fail again, i always do, will i still see You?

“I’ve thought about it But One has died and lived again Who suffered the pain, of you, My precious one who keeps changing, you who always fear, who always doubt who Am I But My love for you and even history won’t change One has died and lived again I would still have you.“

Isaiah 43:1-7

1 But now thus says the LORD, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you BY NAME, YOU ARE MINE. 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. 3 For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. Sometimes that hope seems fleeting—a little too good to even dare to believe it’s true. But if it was backed by God—the One who swears by His own name—then it would be.

So today, you woke up feeling like no one understands, or it’s you against the world.

It’s normal. But we can make it better for you.

Some practical things to do when you’re feeling dark or blue.

1. PRAY and talk to GOD. In this, most of us agree, whether you love to pray or you aren’t really convinced with the power of prayer. There’s a supernatural thing that happens wherein all things seems to work out fine when you lift your concerns to a higher being; that is God’s divine grace that He gives to anyone who starts asking Him for help.

Praying is believing. God gives grace and shows mercy to the one who believes in what He can do.

2. DON’T STAY ALONE. Talk to a friend who can be accountable and is a good listener. Someone who can speak life to you. Hanging out with your ‘just for fun’ friend(s) won’t really do much at this time. You need to have a friend who is brave enough to correct you, speak the truth in love and pray with you.

3. GET CONNECTED. Having a spiritual family will have a huge impact in your life. They are people whom you just might happen to share the same brokenness with, yet help you make a change with great grace coming from God.

One of the biggest lies of the enemy is to separate us from going to church, because 🙄oh people there are either perfect or playing perfect🙄. That’s a lie.

We were all broken people. “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,” - Romans 3:23-24

A church is a home where we can all be secure and reminded of the abounding mercy and love of God. These are people who can pray with you.

4. KNOW JESUS. The most major thing that has ever occured in my life was when i found out that someone has died years and years ago; when I didn’t even existed yet.

He knew that one day, i will be born and i will need someone who i can remember when i feel broken, when i feel like I’m too sinful or I’m too weird. And there was JESUS.

The best part is, He died for all. You’re included. And He rose again to give us life to the full. So just in case you feel too dark today or tonight..

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.

For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.

But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.” - John 3:16-21

JESUS is your light. Shine bright.

How I fell in Louvré

A must visit place when you go around City of Dreams Macau to unwind is Louvré Cafe in Crown tower 1M floor inside The Boulevard shopping center. It’s an excellent place yet so underrated.. That is why i made this review.

Coffee and Tea come in two sizes for better value, and quite impressingly, their coffee tastes waaaay better than that of ‘bucks’, with the same price.

Niche. Choose a brewing method for your coffee. Which means, your ☕️ is made delicately.

Excellent table service.

A lot of coffee/tea, snacks, tea set, main courses, seasonal specialties and some real deal chocolates.

What happened?

I haven’t been updating lately..

But it’s fine, it’s not like i have many followers.. Lol 😂

So yeah, a lot of things happened, and to describe it in just few words is kind'a hard..

All i can say is that Jesus is so present in my life and i just want to keep going.

Counting my blessings:

• Went on a 10 day mission trip, met a lot of new people, saw what God is doing among the nations and how He plans to save as many people as He can.

• Graduated from a 10 week course leadership training by his grace

• A follower of Christ which Jesus and i have been ‘watering’ grew and discipled people as well

• God has placed me, a chance to help reach out to students in the campus in University of Macau. Something I didn’t really realize i was praying for, like it was in the back of my mind all along. Desire’s been hiding underneath my veins. Haha! Seeing these students gives me life, a reason to all the more share God’s love.

• I’ve been understanding how humbling it is to be in Macau not for my own, but for others.

• 5 years in the Lord, since i got saved, and will be with him forever!

• Got a new person to grow in the Lord with and I’m excited for her.

I’m just so thankful of my relationship with Jesus and each day is still an adventure i will always look forward to.

Lord, what to do, where would i be without You?😅

Praying Warrior

I had fever this morning when i woke up. Which I’m thankful for kasi di’ ako nagkasakit sa mission field. I slept again and claimed healing according sa word. I was sweating yet i feel better now. Just amazing how He is teaching me to fight through prayers.

Word: “Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? But earnestly desire the higher gifts. And I will show you a still more excellent way.” - 1 Corinthians 12:30-31

It’s been amazing how God is showing me to trust Him. He has given us these gifts, intercession, healing, toungues.. which are available for use when we need it. Do not underestimate the power of the Holy Spirit through you and in you. Just ask, desire it and you shall receive it in Jesus’ name.

Had fun shooting Janiels and Es today.. They’re getting married this August!

These are my favorites. Love how candid our shoot was. I asked them to just talk to each other, look to the camera every now and then, and just laugh..

I was worried the photos won’t come out well, I only had a camera (and a wild guessing, how do i set my camera thinking😂) natural light is the best..

Pictures turn out way better when it’s done naturally, brought a tiny speaker for some sweet mood love songs…

It was really fun!

But what I’ll remember the most was how pure they are towards each other. I guess that happens, only when you know how to love.. like Jesus.
