So what's the history between the three gals? How'd they meet? What keeps An with the other two? She seems like she ought to be popular in school, but for her psychopathy. Do the other teens pick up on it?
They donât quite fit together, but they fit even less with any of the other kids in their class, so with everyone else forming more coherent friend groups or social circles they wound up as âfriendsâ by default.
An superficially has what it takes to be âpopularâ and can play the part until she always reveals how deeply weirdly cruel she is and sheâs bounced back out of that social sphere. They always keep extending her new chances though.
Lot has an emo/goth/scene-type friend group outside of school which already satisfies her low need for socialization, so within school contexts she doesnât feel the need to try socializing beyond the friends that naturally agglomerated. In her coldest moments she thinks of this friend group as a âhobby project.â
Tin is too awkward and socially anxious to try or succeed at socializing beyond the people she arbitrarily wound up comfortable with. Her dream is to be friends with everyone. She does not understand that Lot is dead weight in this and that An is actually actively holding her back.
Do you see a general trajectory ahead for them? Growing closer, farther apart, or even just growing weirder together in a way that estranges them from others? I'm fascinated by the trio's dynamic.
The ""story"" I have in the back of my mind for them is really more a bunch of disconnected misadventures around the fixed status quo of them being in school together and playing around with stuff beyond anyone's control. I don't have any concrete long term story for them in mind beyond that I would have them growing 'closer' through their adventures, making additional friends with weird quirks, learning about the uncanny world they live in, exploring the effect their 'friendship' has on their lives...
Now that I think about it there's actually very little of this that you could glean from my art or even sketches, since I have kind of given up on being able to put any of this out there since I don't like doing straight writing. I figured out a while ago I'm not built to draw more than one random comic every few months, let alone something expansive and long-running.
Who made these girls so Lustrous...

if a truck was fast approaching tin, would either an or lot jump to save him đ„ș
this is whatever the opposite is of a trick question because obviously they pushed her in front of that truck
