Welcome to Roll From The Hip headcanons and confessions!

RFTH is a separate project from SFTH, which means we need a separate blog for your headcanons and confessions! So, here it is!

Rules:

1. This is a primarily RFTH blog. This means that submissions about content on the SFTH channel and patreon won't be posted

1.1. RFTH/SFTH crossovers are allowed

1.2. The Bitter Sweethearts are also allowed since new content about them would be on the rfth patreon

2. Posts that contain spoilers will NOT be tagged. If you wish to avoid them, it'd be easier to mute the blog

3. Patreon submissions are allowed and will be tagged #rfth patreon. However, mod does not have patreon, so they might miss some context

3.1. When submitting something about a patreon exclusive campaign for the first time, please specify that it's patreon exclusive. I'm not sure if I'd know what you're talking about otherwise as some campaigns might not show up in search results

4. Suggestive/explicit submissions are allowed, as long as they are about adults. This includes aged-up characters. Suggestive posts will be tagged #suggestive, and mature posts will have content labels

5. RPF is allowed and will be tagged #rfth rpf

Tagging system:

All posts will be tagged with either #rfth headcanons or #rfth confessions

Submissions about specific campaigns will be tagged in a similar fashion with the name of that campaign (e.g., #the plagueround headcanons)

Everything else will be tagged #not headcanon or confession

It's genuinely so fun to watch Tom let loose a bit more during RFTH sessions. He doesn't have to be the more responsible one (it's Midge's job to steer the ship/narrative during games) and it's great

He can be just as unhinged as the others but he reins it in a lot more during their shows, so it's really fun to see it when it comes out

with edgar perfectionism comes with another effect. edgar is very competitive (sometimes even to a fault) you wouldn’t expect it when you first meet him. he doesn’t exactly care about winning, he just really doesn’t like losing.

before getting poe, edgar used to LOVE edgar allan poe. it's his namesake, after all, and he'd read his poems and stories over and over, marvelling over the tiny details. his father used to joke that in a past life edgar was the edgar allan poe. no one was surprised when edgar announced over dinner that his raven's name would be Poe when he finally arrives.

after getting poe, edgar stopped reading edgar allan poe all together - partly because he was irrationally angry with fate, and partly because poe would lash and tear and ruin every book held in edgar's hands, and in the depth of his heart he couldn't bear to see his most beloved poems and books getting torn and destroyed. so he stashed them all away deep in his suitcase and sulkily avoided reading or thinking about his once-favorite stories. (he did pack the books in his st. churnleys suitcase, though - naturally and without thought, he slipped them in gently and quickly forgot ever doing it.)

after poe died, edgar allan poe's writings became almost theraputic for edgar. he read them over and over into the night until he could probably recite them all by heart, though it was way too personal to share even with his three closest friends. he would take the books from deep within his closet and read them until his eyes were sore and the pages wrinkled and damp with tears and he was so tired he could almost convince himself that the tap-tap-tap of rainwater falling from the gutter was in fact his stupid, loving, annoying crow tapping on the window with his beak, just like he did that night only a few months ago.

Kevin actually goes by his middle name because his first name is so blatantly a Disney reference, and he's embarrassed by it.

Since their family moto is Hakuna Matata, I'd go with his first name being Simba, and his parents either don't know or don't care about it potentially being culturally insensitive.

DRAW ROLAND FAT & SHORT YALL. IT'S THE ABSOLUTE BARE MINIMUM FOR HIS CHARACTER.

i am genuinely annoyed with artists who keep drawing him as thin as the other boys. Like even if you don't draw him exactly 3 feet tall a d 3 feet wide, he's not even close to fat in your art???? the literal bare minimum.

And truly that makes you a bad artist.

Lenny really looked up to Hinks when they were at school, sorta as that "cool senior". Later, they developed a very supportive friendship, since they'd been through a lot of the same struggles

I really wish the initial campaigns were longer.

Not only so we have more time for the world to be explored, but also as a way for the characters to have a chance at getting to know each other more in depth. And have time move faster than just a couple of days.

It's great what they manage to accomplish in 4 sessions, imagine what they'd get done in 10?

I think that's one of the reasons I'm enjoying Wild Magic Warriors, it feels like they have more space to breathe.

A while ago, I realised that my current artstyle isn't very diverse, and so I can't draw Roland as he's designed to be: 3ft tall and 3ft wide. I've been trying my absolute hardest to adapt my artstyle so that I can draw different body types, but I'm really struggling and don't really have enough time to regularly practice drawing either D:

This is a confession, but also an ask for help and for advice on how to draw larger bodies because I really don't want to mischaracterise (?) Roland (and this includes drawing Sam as well)!!!!! If anyone could share some tips in reblogs or comments I would deeply appreciate it!!!! :3

Not a hc or confession. Maybe sort of a confession because I want to do it but I'm afraid it's wrong, but are we allowed to save videos in our own private playlists on YouTube? To rewatch? I don't even have anyone to share them with anyway, but I'm so scared it's against the rules

It's not wrong at all! Honestly, I can't think of a reason why it would be wrong, even in theory. You're not hurting anyone by enjoying content in a way that's the most convenient to you, and people make playlists of others' videos all the time anyway :)

While AJ has the film stuff going on I dont think he'll stop doing rfth stuff, he clearly enjoys the chaos just the dice have been against them.

Ultimately its up to them but I imagine all four of them have to juggle many things besides the sfth stuff so finding a balance for it all must be super difficult!

It would be sad if AJ decides not to be a part of rfth (something I see more people are talking about lately), but again it is quite clear he is not as into the game as the other three and I'd rather have him in sfth and focusing on his films \o/
