“What?” His voice came out as a hiss as he practically glared at her. “This is my job, Rhea. I have to go protect the people of this town and I can’t be trying to keep an eye on you the whole time.” Kaden’s voice was stern and persistent. He didn’t have time to argue. “You aren’t allowed to hold me here, not in this situation. I need to go and I need you to get somewhere safe.” He pulled his hand out of hers and took a step back from her. “I’m arguing because this is my job, babe. Your job is to help people mentally and emotionally, my job is to help them physically.” He reminded her. “Go to your office and lock the doors or something. Take people with you, I don’t care.”
Rhea pulled away from the other as he ordered her around. “I’m not just another one of you’re residents you can tell what to do.” she glared at him for a moment. The sudden jerking of his arm from her grasp. It hurt her, being forcibly removed from something she loved so dearly. “I’ve got a power Isaac, I can take care of myself.” she shook her head at the other as her voice began to crack. “I’m not leaving, I want to be there to protect you at least.” she shook her head as she flashed back to losing her family. “I’m not going through loss again, so get over it.” she swallowed. “I need to protect the most important thing to me.”
