One Tree Hill Inspired Plots
Peyton/Jake: Muse A is a single parent struggling through high school/college with their newborn baby. They befriend Muse B who offers to help with babysitting so Muse A can work/study/both. What starts out as just a beneficial friendship turns into more as Muse A realizes how perfectly Muse B fits into their little family.
Brooke/Mouth: Muse A is a wild child through and through; constant parties, different people in their bed all the time, a bit of a hot mess. Muse B is, and has always been, their best friend. They’re used to Muse A showing up at all hours of the night, drunk or high from their latest rendezvous, and they’re always willing to help them recuperate. It helps that Muse B is desperately in love with Muse A and would do anything for them. Muse A knows this in the back of their mind, but despite part of them feeling the same way, they keep their emotional distance, afraid of ruining the one good thing they have.
Haley/Nathan: Muse A is a cocky, popular, womanizing jackass who takes great pleasure in making Muse B’s best friend’s life miserable. In their effort to do just that, Muse A decides a great strategy would be to seduce and humiliate Muse B. What they don’t expect is to actually start to fall for Muse B along the way. Muse B, for all their efforts, can’t seem to stay away from Muse A despite knowing how their best friend feels about them, but there’s no telling how they’ll react when they learn it all started out as a game in the first place.
Karen/Dan: When they were kids, Muse A and Muse B were high school sweethearts with their whole lives planned out together. To say life throws a wrench in their plans when they end up pregnant would be an understatement. Muse A stays in their small hometown to raise their child while Muse B can’t handle the sudden responsibility at such a young age, taking off for college across the country just like they’d always planned, abandoning their baby and the love of their life. Years later, Muse B is back in town and wants to make amends, and wants to get to know their child, and has spent every day since they left regretting the decision. Muse A has no intention of letting Muse B back in, literally or emotionally, but as old feelings rise to the surface, that might be easier said than done.
Keith/Karen: Muse A and Muse B have been friends since they were kids, and Muse B has been dating Muse A’s brother/best friend for nearly as long. When Muse B unexpectedly gets pregnant and their boyfriend abandons them and the baby, Muse A steps in to pick up the slack. It’s easy enough considering they’ve been in love with Muse B their whole life but never said anything out of fear of ruining their friendship.
