Imagine listening to that EarBiscuit and thinking Rhett hid the project away from Link to be hurtful, to be cruel. I could never. Y’all just will find anything to dislike about Rhett simply because he’s not Link.

The man has stood and continues to stand by Link day in and day out that we will never for nearly 40 years. Every goddamn thing they’ve done, has been a dream of theirs they’ve unabashedly pursued. They are better because of each other. Link even said this was a motivation to stop being so fickle on his own aspirations. THAT IS HOW FRIENDSHIP WORKS. I hope Link does commit and something on his own.

I would have done the same with my own best friends if I decided to write my own story. Outside influence in any fashion will hinder the authenticity unless done in the right way at the right time.

Also incredibly weird take to say Rhett can’t sing. Like y’all can have your personal preferences on vocal styling and tone and texture of a voice but to say he can’t sing is wildly not true.

ever since dodie uploaded the video of a non love song from nashville; this has been in my mind so i decided to just do it. so the left side i s the lyrics of dodie’s song while the right side is jon cozart’s tourist: a love song from paris. as i was listening to the songs, i realised they had the same chords so i imagined what if it was like part of a song in a musical? like they are talking to each other from their different perspectives… and then this happened;; so guess what ?? here is the combination of both songs no one asked for, enjoy your feels (:

Life lessons from Rhett and Link

Yeah, Rhett and Link are pretty silly guys. But they’ve also taught some real life lessons that just make me feel happy. Enjoy this appreciation post to get through the GMM hiatus :) Let’s talk about that.

It’s okay to be scared. And to admit it.

Everyone has something to give to the world. Even if that something isn’t as noticeable as making internet videos.

Do what makes you happy. If lunch is the only thing that you look forward to everyday, then it’s time to change up your life. 

There’s no limit to your potential. Do something awesome and be dang proud of it.

It’s okay to need help. That’s what friends are there for.

You can’t be good at everything. Own it, and be confident anyways. 

Laugh. All the time. Life is too short to not enjoy it.

The Way They Look At Each Other

They look at each other

like they are the only ones in the room

like they could lose them self for the other’s smile

Forgetting that there is a room full of people

Forgetting that they are filming

Forgetting the years that crease 

their once youthful expressions

Everything crumbles to their feet

For an instant

it’s just them 

          ever blue eyes, altering green gray ones

          sharp incisors and bushy beard

          rounded cheeks and angular jaw

and the connection that binds their minds 

          something unexplanable

          but no less perfect and grand

          memories of lifetimes they have shared

heightening their souls

Leaving them in breathless giggles 

and upturned lips that draw up their faces

Enveloping happiness 

merely for the fact that the other exists in this space

domestic rhink is so cute honestly.

rhink making breakfast together. rhett doing most of the cooking while he tries to explain to link how to do it and what each ingredient does, and link half listening/half admiring how passionate his boyfriend is about the way simple things work. he never really catches on to cooking, but he hangs around anyway because he likes listening to rhett talk and rhett likes explaining it to him.

rhink brushing their teeth together. they do it twice a day, and sometimes link will get up on his tiptoes to kiss rhett’s cheek. rhett complains and rubs at the toothpaste mark, but he’s smiling and the little apples of his cheeks appear where the toothpaste had been.

rhink cleaning the house together. they blast old records as loud as they like, singing at the top of their lungs, using a broom as a microphone. dancing around the living room together, eventually throwing the cleaning supplies aside to slow dance when a softer song comes on. cherishing little moments like this.

rhink relaxing in a hammock together. in their back yard with their fingers laced as they stare up at the trees overhead, talking about anything, asking each other questions. link eventually falling asleep on rhett’s chest, rhett smiling down at the way link’s mouth falls open. rubbing his thumb in circles on the back of link’s hand, taking the time to appreciate his boyfriend, how peaceful and serene and happy he is with the other man, eventually falling asleep himself.

rhink laughing together over dinner. rhink stealing quick kisses on the front porch. rhink having coffee together on a Sunday morning, rubbing their eyes awake. rhink laying down on the couch, yawning after a long day of work as they flick through the channels on TV. rhink falling asleep with their bodies pressed closely together, limbs helplessly tangled. domestic rhink is my favorite.
