Rohan managed a soft smile, but the expression did not quite reach his eyes. Still, he rolled his shoulders in a semi-sleepy stretch before giving a short laugh. âIâm always in hurry. And to that end, most of my Sunday mornings are actually just Saturday aftermaths. So, this actually isnât too far off,â he sighed, wrinkling up his nose. He nodded his head. âBut sure. I can do with a walk. That said, can it just be a walk? Iâm all adventured out. Various ghosts keep sending me on object-finding missions. That sounds like a joke, but itâs rather literal. I dig things up in the woods, like, weekly.â Crossing his arms, Rohan headed for the door. âIn any case, I think we can all use a little mundanity right about now, donât you? Personally, Iâve had enough happenings to last me a few months.â
âThat sounds .. Intriguing. So are these ghosts just boyscouts who love sending you on scavenger hunts or are they setting you up to doom us forever by digging up forbidden artefacts?â Rhett was only half-joking. Maybe. Knowing the stunt Rohan had pulled not all too long ago, he wouldnât put anything past him. Sure he was frustrated of the personal outcome of that stunt, but he had to say Rohan had balls and the covenâs punishment was harsh. Still, he respected it. He had studied dark magic but never dabbled in it, and Rohan did it. He could only admire that sort of tenaciousness. âNah, mundanity is boring. If thereâs anything Iâve learned in my life is that nothing comes for free and the things that happen to us are just challenges. You survived the happenings because you can.â He scoffed, stepping outside. âBut donât listen to me. The higher ups think otherwise.âÂ
