He sniffs loudly, two big tears rolling down his cheeks as he eases up on his grip. He missed the sound of her voice so much. It was like music to his ears. He’d thought he’d steeled himself to the fact that he’d never see her again, but here he was blubbering like a big baby. He wipes his face, smiling.
“Alright. Anything for you, my queen.” He says, picking her up bridal style. “We’ll go back to my place, if that’s alright.” He adds, before walking off in that direction.
She gasps her eyes widening a little as she feels him pick her up.
"Steven, there is no need for this. We are perfectly capable of walking on our own." Not that she truly cared all that much. He was the only one who could get away with such behavior as this.
"However, if you insist we suppose we can allow you to carry us." This likely made him feel better after having been separated for so long and she didn't exactly want to take that away from him if it's what he needed right now.
"Do you still live in the same place as when we were last here?" She knew she herself lived in the same area as before if not the same room. However, she hadn't really lived at her place spending most of her time with Steve.
