I think the reason why Black people are so quick to accept any and everyone as Black is because they don’t like what Black people look like. And before anyone tries to get smart with me: we ALL know what Black people typically look like so don’t try to be obtuse. The exception is NOT the rule.
I remember when people were jacking that Adriana Lima was Black 😑
And Kehlani 😐
And yes I am gatekeeping. Because people’s perception of Blackness is VISUAL more than anything else because what primarily connects us are our features and our skin tone. Not that that’s the only thing that connects us but visual perceptions of Black people are the easiest to identify. Whereas genetics is a lot harder to verify.
What’s even worse is they try to bring up light skin Black People as reasons as to why we can’t gatekeep Blackness but light skin Black people are still easily identifiable as Black lol. No one is going to think that Beyoncé or Rihanna or Boris Kodjoe or Trey Songz are anything other than Black so nice try.
When you got feelings for a mf this how everything they do make you feel

I never even thought of this. I hate that I didn’t think of this.
I’m so tired of stereotypes that come along every Black women. And the fact that they were created by the white media really pisses me off! I am very proud of all Black girls and I admire all their accomplishments despite the hate of the modern society.
#BlackGirlMagic is not just a hashtag, it strengthens our self-respect and emphasizes our importance!

I hope all of yall find $20 on the ground tomorrow.
And I mean that.
$50 maybe
a dropped money clip from some clumsy, unobservant capitalist shithead with in excess of $5000 in it
Put it out so the universe can pull it in sis!!
$50 in a silver money clip thrown by a child who immediately fled in the opposite direction
“White women and black men have it both ways. They can act as oppressor or be oppressed. Black men may be victimized by racism, but sexism allows them to act as exploiters and oppressors of women. White women may be victimized by sexism, but racism enabled them to act as exploiters and oppressors of black people. Both groups have led liberation movements that favor their interests and support the continued oppression of other groups. Black male sexism has undermined struggles to eradicate racism just as white female racism undermines feminist struggle. As long as these two groups or any group defines liberation as gaining social equality with ruling class white men, they have a vested interest in the continued exploitation and oppression of others.”

That is some serious tea.
