As time passes, my opinion of Ned stark genuinely goes down. despite my natural affinity for Starks, and most of it has to do with Robert Baratheon

Robert Baratheon is an unequivocal POS, at every point in his life. He sleeps with anything which moves, literally ruins their lives, doesn't care at all about his bastards ( or the real ones), is obsessed and just wants to possess Lyanna, is abusive to his wife... And Ned sticks by him throughout. Yeah I can admit that Ned didn't have any power, Robert was the king BUT Need genuinely maintains the friendship. Even after he refuses to stop Lady's killing, knowing full well that Joffrey was the culprit no matter what happened.

And Ned genuinely still considers him a friend. People who are friends with such shitty people, are not as great as they think they're, even if they're not committing the same shitty stuff.

For once I didn’t sob (probably because it’s exam week, I’m on my period and it’s hell and I’m coming down from a dry cough illness).

This one features Elia and Oberyn hugging in some type of Martell VIP afterlife. Obviously the reference is Gustav Klimt’s “Fulfillment” !

Elia to me always has those peach pinks and yellow orange colours because to me she represents the dawn (tying with Ashara Dayne yup yup). So all these soft vibrant colours always comeback when I visualise her.

But yeah happy belated Elia week to my dearest fictional meow meow 💗🥹

Popular in the 18th and 19th century, dance cards were used by women to record the names of their dance partners. It appears these cards were also used for a question-and-answer game requiring prospective dancers to answer a riddle before being granted a dance.

(The riddle game thing wasn’t typical of dance cards.)

The cards would tell you what kinds of dances would be played and when, and sometimes gave the names of the musical pieces that would be played.

^As you can see, this one tells you when supper is served and when the ball ends. You can see from the different handwriting that the gentlemen wrote their own names on the lady’s dance card.

Usually ladies kept dance cards, but here’s one from 1892 that was used by a man–which would have been handy, because it might be hard to remember whom you had promised to dance with!

(^source) Apparently he wanted to spend a lot of time with MIS! (The archive that keeps this card doesn’t seem to think that this might be a woman’s card from a women-only affair, such as a dance at a women’s college, where women would have had only women on their cards. But I digress.)

Sometimes the dance cards were printed in creative shapes, like this one, which is made to look like a fan:

Dance cards were given out to attendees when they arrived, and as you can see, they came with a little attached pencil and hung on a loop of string so you could wear it on your wrist and not lose it while dancing. Because NO POCKETS.

Silent Hill F. Amazingly written game. It was so good I needed to draw at least one fanart. I loved the storytelling and symbolism in the game, as well as crafting theories with friends to solve mysteries before we reached the end of the game.
