Top winced, flinching at the words. Knowing his brother, it didn't seem out of character for him. Snake didn't bother to hide his sadism. His anger melted away and left him looking rather meek.

I don't think they even pity you. I think they hope that you go away; it makes sense since they've never come to help you before, not even now to defend you. It's because they don't care.

Topman went silent, not even giving an answer. He clung onto the fabric of the suit he wore underneath his armor.

After a minute or so he turned toward the other abruptly, looking positively furious– and on the verge of tears.

“IF THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT ME THEN WHY HAVEN’T THEY GOTTEN RID OF ME ALREADY?! SNAKE WOULD DO IT IF HE REALLY WANTED TO!”

Top, your practical purpose is entertainment. You love to dance and put on shows, seriously I think even Bass enjoys seeing those little dance things you do.

“It’s not what I was built for. I know I’m good at dancing; I’m amazing at it! But I was created for combat and for scouting out foreign areas, specifically different planets. I can’t fight very well and scouting out planets isn’t exactly practical. There’re other Robot Masters that can do that better than I can, too.

yeah, but you can't do anything in combat either and you were built with an industrial purpose that can easily be fulfilled by someone else; and can be done better by someone else, I might add.
