SPORADIC ACTIVITY - I work approximately 50+ hours a week ranging anywhere from 8am - 4am. My job sucks the LIFE out of me, but I love what I do. I rarely and BARELY get time off so pleeeease be patient with me ! An occasional gentle nudge is fine, but please don’t harass for replies. It just overwhelms me and kills my will to keep going. I’m going through burnout IRL already, so please grant me some grace ♥

Between one blink and the next, he’s sitting across from Ribbit, and one glance down confirms— yep. He’s even been dressed up for the occasion. Like a fucked up, rabbit shaped ken doll. Great. “This is so stupid.” Jax thumbs at the collar of his sports coat with a still gloved hand and a scowl on his face, until looks up at Ribbit, equally dressed up and he can’t help his scoff at the absurdity of the situation.

A frog and a rabbit walk into a restaurant. . .

You’d think he’d be used to it by now.

“Sooo. . . you had to butter Caine up to get him to let you take me out on a date, huh frog legs? Kind of pathetic, but don’t worry; I’m flattered.” The rabbit teases, pressing a hand to his chest— Of course, that’s when he notices Caine and his binoculars, and Jax jumps before he can stop himself.

“You’re just gonna WATCH?” Really, are you even surprised Jax?

"Weeeeell, Jax I'd actually love to --"

The frog leaned into the hare's face to finish her snide quip but was quickly interrupted by instead being seated a good distance away from him in an 𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓇𝓁𝓎 𝒻𝒶𝓃𝒸𝓎 restaurant setting. Despite the absolute ғᴀʀᴄᴇ she was trying to make of the latest ordeal, this was 𝑛𝑖𝑐𝑒. Much better than any place she could remember being to out in the ʀᴇᴀʟ ᴡᴏʀʟᴅ. The fact that somehow the all-knowing and overbearing AI was able to muster up such a cozy setting was actually pretty remarkable. And the sparkling dress vest and button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up she was put in was entirely unexpected. Even in the Circus setting she rarely if ever wore clothes -- outside of her iconic bowtie, of course -- but this felt .. oddly affirming ? For a moment, she'd almost forgotten she was ɪᴍᴘʀɪsɪᴏɴᴇᴅ in a digital realm with others until Jax's commentary cut through her taking everything in. She snapped to looking across the table at him, armed with yet another great zinger -- "O-Oh -- "

It just slipped out of her, barely even able to hide the look in her eyes.. He just looked so .. Nice .. If she didn't know him as well as she already did, she'd have imagined he'd actually be remarkably successful, kind and well-mannered. But this was JAX. She clears her throat as he starts yapping and holds her hand out, entirely interrupting his self-flattering. "Ribbit, nice to meet you, Mister ... ? Sorry, I don't think I caught your name Stranger ..."

"Yeah, the Vibe .. " Ribbit's finger traced the rim of their own mug of hot chocolate. Their opposite hand was holding the edge of the counter, having pushed themselves away to tilt themselves backward. It was just themselves and Jax in the Cafe, and yet.. 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 was ᴀғᴏᴏᴛ! Suddenly they sat straight up, leaning forward, alert as can be, almost knocking over their own mug. They turned to face the hare suddenly. "Do you.. Hear that .. ?" Keeping their expression neutral, unreadable -- What could possibly be going on .. ?

" that wasn't supposed to be a choice . how did you do that ? "

"You know what -- ?" She drew in a breath, confidently puffing out her chest and immediately deflated. Really, who knew busting through the wall between the two given doors was even an option ?! She lurched over, looking at the rubble that she'd now caused, then back to Zooble. "Iiiiiiiiii don't know.." She admitted, the words spilling out of her. "I honestly just .. Didn't really want to pick! I just .. Thought of the least likely thing to work and .. it .. 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐝 ?!"

She rubbed the back of her arm with the opposite hand. It was kind of a cool thing that happened but the fact that she was paired up with Zooble for this one was still a little complicated. From the start Zooble was HARD to read. They were new to her, and she really wanted to impress them -- But this may have been more faux pas than she was hoping for. She quickly realized her obvious display of self-soothing was totally uncouth so she switched up to a sheepish grin and leaned on her elbow against the wall.

    "Guess we really uh.. derailed Caine's adventure, huh?"
