It’s 2015 and french new wave still bores me to tears.
It’s 2020 and this is no longer the case.

Pretty hype about the Vikings’ draft haul so far. Rick is so good at gliding around. Never expected that Dalvin Cook would fall anywhere near us, but I’m very excited about it. I was a big advocate for bringing in Mixon, considering I trust them to have vetted him and their clear interest tells me that he is a good enough human being to warrant drafting, but I’ll take Cook. Both are 1st round talents with big-play ability, so I’m cool with either.
Love the Elflein pick. I was really hoping we’d be able to land Dion Dawkins or Taylor Moton after the Dalvin Cook pick, but Elflein provides position flexibility, which was the big draw for me in regards to Dawkins. Could plug and play Elflein at guard or throw him in at center and move Berger back to guard. Plus, it provides flexibility with the rest of the draft and upcoming drafts/free agencies. Lots of options.
Moved back a couple times completely out of the 3rd round with our second 3rd, but now we’ve got 7 picks from rounds 4-7, which means more bodies to compete and more flexibility to move around for specific targets. Didn’t miss out on any of the other big lineman by moving down either. Can still snag someone like Dorian Johnson, Nico Siragusa, or David Sharpe here early in the 4th and/or wait a little on a Julie’n Davenport, Jordan Morgan, or Isaac Asiata. If we grab another guard and/or a tackle, I like where we’re at going into camp on the offensive line. Like, not love… but I’ll take that.
Also wouldn’t mind them taking a flyer on Caleb Brantley or grabbing Jaleel Johnson. If they can move a couple of day 3 picks for Sheldon Richardson though… THAT would be fantastic. I’ve also had my eye on Dede Westbrook. We need some depth at WR and we don’t really have a set KR now that Flash is gone. If they can grab any 3 of those names, I’ll be incredibly happy about our offseason. SKOL Vikes.
Cook looks great, Elflein was a steal, we ended up getting Jaleel Johnson AND acquiring Sheldon Richardson (albeit a year later). Also knew what was up with Dede.
I spent way too much money in the last 45 days
Brent Tarring is fighting hard. Now it’s our turn. [2017]
I first met Timmy Baltimore (Brent Tarring) at Ohio Valley Wrestling in 2017. He’s one of the friendliest, funniest people you could ever ask to befriend, and he’s currently involved in a very difficult battle for his life.
https://www.youcaring.com/brenttarring-1026028
If you aren’t able to contribute, at the very least, please reblog this to help save a life. I know that gets thrown around a lot on this site, but trust me when I say, Brent is a dude worth fighting for. He’s one of the good ones. Here’s some more details on his battle:
Brent Tarring is currently battling a serious systemic infection after a month of hospitalization. He has to complete 9 weeks of acute rehab at a skilled nursing facility and faces very expensive medical bills (that are rising). He is fighting hard - now it is our turn. When he was 5 years old, Brent Tarring was involved in a devastating car accident that would change his life forever. As a pediatric spinal cord injury patient, he beat the odds by learning to walk again after being a quadripalegic. He endured countless surgeries and experimental treatments and received the smallest Harrington rods ever made. He lived in hospitals for years during his recovery. As Brent grew up, his spine curved more and more, as the scoliosis and lordosis worsened. At age 18, he was told he needed surgery to prevent his spinal cord from collapsing his lungs (which would have killed him by age 30). During the surgery, he was given the wrong blood type. Clinically, he died 5 times, was put in a coma, and was not expected to survive - but he beat the odds again.
In spring 2017, Brent went to a local hospital in extreme neck pain. This hospital incorrectly diagnosed him with a pinched nerve and sent home, despite being in agony. The unbearable pain lasted for months. It wasn’t until late October that we went to another hospital, Tampa General, because Brent couldn’t walk. He was immediately admitted and we soon learned just how serious things were.
Little did we know, staph aureus bacteria were eating away his bones, muscles, and more. His neck was collapsing onto itself. Bacteria were flowing through his body in his blood, spreading the infection further. The bulk of infection was just under his brain stem - an extremely dangerous location. He was formally diagnosed with bacteremia/septicemia and osteomyelitis, and had multiple abscesses, including a spinal epidural abscess.
He was in dire condition and had two emergency surgeries, including discectomy and fusion of the C2-T1 vertebrae. This fusion was attached to his existing rods and hardware. So, he is now fused from C2-T7 and his neck is slowly rebuilding itself.
He is now in a skilled nursing facility, receiving the strongest antibiotics around the clock and participating in speech, physical, and occupational therapies. He will be in the facility until late January (at the earliest), but will need to take antibiotics for the rest of his life. Without them, the infection could return and become fatal. He is facing mounting medical bills, including thousands of dollars in coinsurance to cover his stay at the nursing facility. This fundraiser is being created to help cover these expenses so Brent can focus solely on his recovery and not need to stress about finances. Thank you everyone for your love, your prayers, and your support. Kati (Brent’s girlfriend)
Again, Brent is one of the raddest dudes alive, and it would be great if he could be taken care of by the good people of this world. Please, if you can help, even if just by reblogging, take a second to help a good brother.

Hate to break it to you but Tumblr is an echo chamber of idiots and you’re all weaklings. Face your problems like adults and stop burying yourself in a pit with a bunch of other losers who haven’t evolved past whining. Happiness is a state of mind and you sure as shit ain’t gonna find that here.
I see y’all back at it again with the neo-Puritanism. Ain’t too much change.

I ain’t waking up at 50 still living in this fucking hallway, still running up credit card debt cuz these bitch ass clients can’t pay me what they owe on time, still talking myself into being about the team. If the team ain’t about the team, why the fuck I’m gonna be about the team? I’m about what it’s gonna take to make the vision happen and if that includes dropping dead weight, so be it. Don’t like it, try harder, grind harder, do better, be better. Ain’t none of that on me.
