The Standard Hotel in West Hollywood
I co-created a television show called “Fastlane” which aired on Fox for one season. I didn’t get a “co-created by” credit, as I didn’t know how to protect myself, legally speaking, at that time. Anyways, my idea for the show was to make a new type of Miami Vice, and set it in LA. We shot a crucial scene at this hotel and we had the premiere party at this very pool area. The original poster of this image here uses the Miami Vice soundtrack artwork as their avatar which makes me feel like I wasn’t far from the mark. Years later, I am somewhat proud despite not receiving any credit for a very, very good pilot episode. The rest of the episodes pretty much sucked, however, as they lost the original feeling and idea of the show.
