Vinyl, in colour, in black and white, almost like the rings of a tree.
Rippling water, reflections thereof.
Interior design project, May 2021.
A yoga studio in a private residence up in the Hollywood Hills. I've gone for a simple, minimalist design here with a very limited palette.
Exterior design project, April/May 2021. A small, informal boho garden space, both during daytime and in the evening.
Interior design project, March 2021. A sitting room/library space with a window reading nook. Both daytime and evening views of the same space presented here.
A little absurd afternoon horseplay courtesy of yours truly.

Roomstyler interior design competition, December, 2020. The brief: Design a seating corner with three different types of armchairs.

I've long admired the Moorish/Islamic architecture in parts of Spain, Portugal, other parts of the southern Mediterranean and, of course, in North Africa and the Middle East. I've tried here to capture something of those traditions. Cats have free reign in this place, of course.
Interior design project, November 2020. Modernist living room.
It’s me. Richard Holman with some b/w selfie bollocks after listening to some great music, including Leonard Cohen and Jeff Buckley, but a few others also. Late nights, probably time for some Tom Waits soon. We night owls, we keep on owling ... and it just started raining outside here in Birmingham, UK.
Interior design project, October 2020.
An evening in the music room with ambient lighting. The musicians have taken a break, but the cat is still sticking around for a stretch and a scratch on the rug .. as ever. I love cats.
Welcome to the jungle.
Interior design project, September 2020.
This was my entry for recent a design contest on the website roomstyler.com. The brief for the contest, by way of tribute, was to create a living room inspired by the design style of the late Sir Terence Conran. I took some inspiration for this design from Terence Conran's own living room, contrasting the older houses that many of Conran's designs would have found themselves in with the modernism of his design style.
Abstract photography, light art. Both images based on original photographs of the embers of a fire.
