After a murder spree that left more than a dozen people dead, Richard Ramirez was finally identified as the Night Stalker, in 1985.

Ramirez stole the car that belonged to the last couple he killed. The car was located, complete with a set of Ramirez’s fingerprints. Ramirez had a lengthy criminal record full of drug charges.

On August 30, 1985, an APB was issued for Ramirez and his mugshots were shown on television. The next day, he was captured by a group of civilians in East L.A., who recognized him from his pictures. As he tried to steal a car, he was beaten by a mob of people. News reports claimed that if the police hadn’t arrived, the mob would have beaten Ramirez to death.

Richard Ramirez’s magazine’s. Often, when he had male pen pals, he would ask them for naked pictures of women as well as magazines. There’s a phone call recording of him talking to a guy and in the phone call he asks “send me pictures of naked women” later following with saying “I need pictures”

I’ve also attached some photos of the women that would send him pictures.
