Nature's fascinating contrast: The creek flows too fast to freeze, while the water dripping slowly from the branch turns into solid ice. A tiny detail in the winter landscape that tells a big story.
Cold Beauty: Flowers made of Snow. ❄️✨
The flower has long since faded, but the winter snow gives it a new, delicate bloom for a short while. I love the contrast between the icy white and the deep blue background.
A Caddis Fly (Trichoptera) in Focus. 🔍
Did you know that the name Trichoptera comes from the Greek words for "hair" and "wing"? Unlike butterflies, their wings are covered in fine hairs.
This shot was one of my first experiences with a dedicated macro lens. I love how the emerald green background makes this little architect stand out.
