You know, with the ending of tonight’s episode, I could have lived with this having been the series finale. In fact, I now kind of wish it was. It offered exactly what I look for in a series finale. While there was definite closure on all the major plotlines, there was also potential for the future. They didn't spell out what exactly would happen next, but left a door open for fans to imagine what path each of the characters would take.
#Castle#Castle Spoilers#hollander's woods#I don't exactly want to see them spell out Kate's future in season 8 now#I would have rather this show have ended here#I can't believe I am saying this#because I LOVE Castle#and have been watching since episode 1 aired back in 2009#but I don't want to see this show run into the ground#because the writers/network didn't know when to stop#I want to remember this show fondly#and now worry that won't be the case once season 8#and possible subsequent seasons air#Good endings for a show are difficult to find#And I worry this was the perfect ending for Castle#and their aired it before the series finale of the show#(I do realize I am probably overreacting. It is late and I am tired and emotional. This is just my initial reaction tonight.#My opinion may change in the AM)
