A lottery kiosk stands alone in the middle of floodwaters, with no relief in sight. This is the gamble many have been subjected to in recent times during the rainy season.
Floodwaters have swallowed more dreams than many ever had the chance to build. The cycle of this lottery draw appears unending. Each year, communities place the same unwanted bet: Will the rain spare them this time?
The scarce relief provided as support is only for wiping the tears of the present, while unhealed wounds from the past wait to be burst open by the next downpour.
