I joke that Prince Shane demands a helicopter fly-by every time I go out jet skiing, and Prince Shane is almost always placated.
Army Apaches frequently operate out of Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Yuma in Arizona and seem to follow the river as part of their training route. I get to see all kinds of helicopters as well as Ospreys. It's always a highlight.
This isn't my video but I have had the helicopters buzz me at ridiculously low levels. It is always amazing but fear an unseen wake will launch me in to the propellers! One time I imagine the pilot's altitude read in the negative, as the water was so low and his wheels were at the water line. Those pilots are just slightly insane. Not to mention there are power lines crossing at several points. No crashes just entertainment so far tho.
