ah, so it was her that he spotted out in the distance. nice.

he stays put as her majesty bounces and jumps with a certain level of youthful delight, the true majesty of a pink rathian being ecstatic to see a friendly and familiar face in the wilds of the forbidden lands, instead of, and he quotes, all these little hatchlings. ( their bond ever closer, it didn't take the kinship stone for him to recognize what his best friend and longest monstie was feeling and thinking. )

he grins, the stubble across his lower jaw telling of months without proper facial hair upkeep, but it makes him look a little bit closer to his age of twenty-six. a little older than ciela... almost the age he lost his sister, half the age he lost his ma' & pa'.

"Hey, Cici!" he hops off the rathian who keeps a vigilant eye out for them both. "Ah, I was in a later crew, I had some paperwork to keep up on for letting me bring Queenie with me onto the ship, or at least alongside all of this, as an outside part of the ecosystem, yanno? It's good to see you, really, though."

HER EXPRESSION COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE DRY. In a tired and blase tone, the stalwart rider answers; "Considering the injured leg and the massive gash I have across my chest? Eh, I'm doing alright." She will admit, however, that she was starting to get a little worried. At least with the dangers that came with fighting monsters, death was likely to be quick and even painless. But if he had disappeared, she would hate to have to fend for herself or left to rot with her injuries. Not a fun way to go.

The wound on her chest had been long since bandaged, though it was still fresh. The bigger concern was of course, the broken leg. It wasn't the first time she'd been so confined, but, that didn't make it any less fun.

she was always so strong, and for what? for the world to toss it back in her face as if they both never had a choice? ( what a familiar sentiment ; a lack of choice & a dream gone unsung. ) he might be an older rider, but he knew the feeling of not having much of a choice, and then turning it into your choice. ( it didn't make the feeling of helplessness better, when it happened. )

"Takes a lot out of you, too. All that drama and all that fighting, and to what end? At least you and Ratha got out of it alive. Right?"

i currently have a shared verse with @justifyanger's ciela, where kyora and ciela grew up in mhst1's village and ended up making their lives throughout and up to the forbidden lands in wilds. i will have a rough timeline set up when i talk to vernal for the outline.
