Shout out to all your internet friends who are gone.

Those messenger screen names that haven’t logged on in ages, some before detailed profiles were a thing on those services.

Those emails that are long since abandoned, some with domains that no longer exist.

Those online friends you knew years ago and who then helped shaped you in some way, who you just can’t FIND anymore.

Those people who once were, and hopefully still exist IRL, that seem to have no known internet life anymore.

And those who have actually passed on, and their online lives are now a memorial to them.

I miss you all. I hope life is/was kind to you, and maybe one day, we’ll somehow connect again.

In an alternate world, aligned with the true world, there exist entities that are direct “copies” of the people of the true world, or rather, their personalities. These beings come in various forms and their existence is completely determined by one’s “true colors”. An angry individual would have a rough, terrifying alternate who freely strikes others or attacks wildly, an endurant individual would have a peace-seeking entity, born to halt combat and scare away potential threats, and so on and so forth.

Everyone has one- from the moment of birth, their TC (True Color) begins to take form. And every action that occurs in the true world has an equal reaction in the alternate- being the personalities of the true individuals, they act according to their alternate. When two individuals argue and get into fights, their TCs fight viciously and without mercy, freely tearing each other apart. When two individuals fall in love, their TCs form strong bonds, sticking very close to one another and rarely leaving each other’s side. All actions have equal reaction.

You didn’t find this out until your school, realizing your potential/removing you for your trouble-making nature, took you out of your normal classes and told you that you were going to a new school who could provide what you needed better- the Albertan Private School for True Colors.

Wherever this place is, you’re not sure of it- it’s been spoken of before. Some say the kids there are worse than those in Juvie, others say the school is nothing but braniacs- whatever the case, you’re none to excited about it.

Arrival is soon, sitting on the bus with your huge bag of clothes, snacks, whatever you wanted to bring with you- after all, an entire year of staying at this school? Not a pleasant thought. But then he sits by you- a strange kid with.. white hair? Someone messed up their bleach. He gives.. a fake smile? It’s hard to tell, he seems fairly expressionless- but what really catches your eye is his own. Were his eyes.. gold?! Before you could question him, he speaks first, in a naturally quiet voice.
