The ocean glistened under the blinding July sun. The warm sand slipped underneath your bare feet, and despite the blazing sun, the sand wasnโt hot enough to make your feet burn. The seagulls circled over the water, it seemed like they too, were enjoying the summer.ย
The warm air coming from the sea's direction flowed through your hair and the white summer dress you wore: it was moist but it felt good. Eyes closed, you tried to take in the warmth and feel that summer vibe. However, your โmain characterโ moment was ruined by loud laughter hitting your ears.
โYou know you look so stupid right nowโ Chenle gasped for air as he found your relaxation wildly amusing.
โChenle what the fuck is wrong with you,โ You glared at him for stealing your spotlight, โAt least Iโm not hiding behind those big ass sun glasses.โ
โIโm not hiding,โ he scoffed dramatically, โitโs called protecting your eyes, y/n.โ
โYeah, yeah whatever,โ you smiled at his usual exaggerated emotions, your eyes trailing back to the sea.ย
โYou know standing here would only burn your skin off,โ Chenleโs irritating taunt pulled you back to him again.ย
You huffed in annoyance and spoke up again with a raised eyebrow and folded arms, โOkay then Mr. Know-it-all, why donโt you suggest something we should do which will satisfy your high demands?โย
An offended expression painted itself on Chenleโs features. He tried to come up with another one of his cocky come-backs, but it seemed like his mind wasnโt deciding to cooperate with him because apparently it was taking him a bit too long to come up with something which would wipe away that smirk off your face.ย
โI-โ Before he got to finish his sentence, a blinding light took over Chenleโs vision, his hands going up to shield his eyes faster than his brain could send the signal.ย
โToo slowโ you tutted mockingly, shaking your head to emphasise your disappointment. Once getting used to the sunlight, he saw you twirling his sunglasses between your fingers.ย
โHey! Give that back!โ Chenle reached out for his precious (not to mention expensive) sunglasses before you could cause them any damage.ย
However, you werenโt planning on giving them back any time soon. Instead of letting him snatch the sunglasses from you, you hovered them over your head and take a few steps backward.ย
โGotta catch me first.โ You giggled when you saw his bewildered, dumbfounded face, mouth agape due to the utter nonsense you were spewing out in front of him.ย
Sticking your tongue out at him, you let out another cackle and made a run for it, while an angry Chenle followed closely behind. Even though he seemed angry, he didnโt mind a bit because even he has to admit, spending time with you is his favourite thing in the whole world, after his sunglasses of course.ย
