Flowers of Two Thousand Years (Part 1)

Marius-centric comic. The following 9+ pages are closely based on Prince Lestat and The Vampire Lestat. (CW for violent imagery including a vampire turning)

I initially didn't plan to spend THIS much time on this part of Marius' Story in TVL; the concept of this comic is to show some parts of Marius' life with the connecting theme of flowers, in quick succession.

Not sure how many pages the rest of the comic will have since I keep adding stuff.............. will probably take awhile.

I contributed Champignac, the brilliant scientist character i.e. I put myself on old man drawing duty lol. I pictured him in the forest when I drew him, so I wanted to do an extra version for my blog 🌱🍄🦠

I participated in Hourly Comics Day 2025 on Bluesky yesterday! The basic challenge is to draw a quick comic strip or panel for every hour that you're awake, typically mundane diary stuff. I completed it for the first time!

Yes, decapitation does happen to vampires in the Chronicles, in Blood & Gold Marius is even asked to help with some reattaching since it can be messed up (an experience that Armand has made, which is part of why he's so upset here). This time Marius is the victim, and I can't imagine how it would actually happen otherwise.
