Since I was young, I have always stayed in this neighborhood and have not moved for years. I see my friends come and go before, and I felt they left me somewhere else, causing loneliness. One kid, in particular, was called Heeseung. He used to be my kindergarten classmate, and whenever a mean boy annoyed me, he used to help protect me from the bullies. I miss him from time to time; we were excellent childhood friends.

Today I didn't sleep again. I was too busy preparing for a school exam that will haunt me for the next few weeks. Waking up in the morning is way too difficult for me, so I guess not sleeping would be of help. Or maybe not.
As I walk out of the house with a piece of toasty bread in my mouth, somebody pats my head from the back. I slightly turned then ...
"Riki..!" I said, in tiny. I honestly hate to say this, but his habit is to make fun of my height. I understand being below average in height is a joke in itself, but ...
"Why... I haven't sleep at all, please stop annoying me first thing in the morning!.."
He responded, "Oh, I heard if you did not sleep enough your height will not grow at all. I think to avoid you looking even shorter, y/n should really take my advice. Sleep!! zzz... just go back home and rest, shoo!" He gently turns my shoulder back towards the house and starts walking me back.
"Stop it! We have mid-term today. Do you think I will let you take the first rank in class again? No way, man." I got riled up because in a split-second I was reminded of how Riki placed first in the whole grade by a 1-point difference in contrast to my exam result.
"Fine~~ I won't bother you now, but I can't promise about the rest of today." Then he runs in front of me while looking back and making silly faces.
Stupid I said in my heart.
We both have our own interests, but the only thing that puts us close together is the fact that we share our own private space meaning we're living together - we both are trying to be more independent, thus our parents let us live by ourselves nearer to the school. Our house was originally way further than 1 hour, so to save time we decided to move out. After school, Riki teaches dancing lessons while I would be teaching a martial art class.
