Love is what we are; we don’t get it from somebody, we can’t give it to anybody, we can’t fall in it or fall out of it. Love is our true Being.

you had such a thirst for knowledge; and now school has ruined that.
something that someone said to me recently and I think about it a lot. (via opticalsewer)

"During the Maithuna ritual the two partners sit facing each other, the man in full lotus posture (padmasana). The woman sits in his lap, wrapping her legs around his waist, lingam in yoni and her arms around his neck, in a state of ecstatic surrender. The couple remains motionless and prolongs the embrace so that the energetic exchange is passive and receptive rather than active and demanding. Nothing special is done to arouse the sexual energy: it just follows its natural flow, without being seized and exploited by the will. The mind and the senses rest in the action, effortlessly aware, the Serpent awakens and ascends toward the Divine embodied in both the woman and man, they become ‘that which is’ complete union in the now.”
The Serpent of Spring
My latest Eco-Art project is located in the vast and beautiful Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina. I was inspired by the anxiety and excitement for Spring. Spring is a time of (re)emergence and knowledge, when the elements are all working together in harmony to bring alive the Earth from the winter. This winter, we shed our skin and return to the surface for spring, for new beginnings, for love, for light, for balance, and for healing.

Earth Sheltered Homes
The earth sheltered house uses the ground as insulating blanket which effectively protects it from temperature extremes, wind, rain and extreme weather events. An earth sheltered home is energy-efficient, quiet, freeze-proof and low maintenance. Aesthetically an earth sheltered home blends in with the natural environment, leaving more yard space and more space for wildlife. Fifteen feet below ground the soil maintains a fairly constant temperature equal to the annual average temperature of the area’s surface air. If the average temperature in your area is 55, that means the soil temperature at 15 feet is 55 degrees and in the winter you will only have to bring the temperature inside your earth sheltered home up thirteen degrees, to bring it up to a comfortable 68 degrees. Versus bringing up the inside temperature 68 degrees, if your home is above ground and the outside windchill is 0. In the summer, that 55 degree soil will also keep your home much cooler than an above ground home. Many earth homes incorporate passive solar designs lessening even further the need for fuel for heating or cooling…

With Your sweet Soul, this soul of mine has merged as water does with wine. Who can part the water from the wine, or me from You when we combine? ~Rumi
