Im trying to play tlou 1 and I keep dying on this one level, it’s called Downtown but idk if that’s much of an indicator. Ellie and Tess have abandoned me and I’m crawling around a decrepit old building trying to get to an upper level and it’s me vs 6 clickers. If u understand my ramblings, do u have any advice for a newbie gamer who’s only ever play HZD?

(And who’s low key hyped for Forbidden West)

First off, don't be afraid to drop the difficulty down if you need to!

I can't recall the exact spot you're at but I can give you some general tlou advice

- You don't always have to kill everything - if you CAN sneak past, try that instead. - Take out as many enemies while in stealth as you can. As soon as you're detected or you make a noise (ie. throwing a brick) it alters the enemy AI's path and they become unpredictable and will actively seek you out. I never use bricks/bottles on infected for that reason. Better to stay in stealth as long as possible! - Clickers are terrifying but they can't see you so they're often better to leave till last. Runners (the ones that still look almost human) can see you, and will alert everyone else when they do, so take them out first. Runners that are pacing at the most likely to see you, even from a distance, so a stealth take down (with arrows once you get them) is best, or pay attention to their programmed path and hide somewhere you can grab it as it walks through a door way etc. The ones that are just standing still can be safely choked out so long as you sneak up without them spotting you. - If you do get discovered and swarmed, RUN and regroup as far away as you can. You might be able to hide again and start over. - Save your shivs for clicker attacks if you can - don't waste them on runners.

Honestly it was just becoming too expensive to keep, as it was mostly still alive for nostalgia.

Also, some of it makes me cringe. I was very much an idiot, and at times inappropriate and unnecessarily offensive. So yeah, a part of me was happy to let it go.
