“Yep!!” She said thanking him for the drink. “Yeah I guess it is, but I don’t know. I need to get out more,honestly.” Sabrina sipped the drink and hummed. “Oh this is so good. I’m gonna have like 3 of these and end up sleeping on your couch.” She laughed

Tanner laughed gently. “It was kind of a shock for me to start partying here after growing up in the South where our idea of fun is driving our trucks to the lake and tailgating.” He turned on the TV and found the show that they were meant to be watching. “Thank you! And I would totally let you.”

“See I much rather do that. I grew up in LA and part of me is so over the big city crap. I just wanna go out into the country and chill. It must be so nice.” She said wishfully. “Like...you’ve see those busses that people convert into beautiful campers? I want that. I wanna do that!”

“Well thank you but lazy afternoons should be oversized t-shirt, baggy sweat pants and fuzzy socks. That’s the rules.” She stated like it was the law. She nodded as she tired up her hair in a high ponytail. “Yeah the book is all about her time there. Someone read it and thought it be a great show. Actually everything takes place in New York too! So it’s all around cool! It’s so good. I feel like I should warn you. Lots of titis, sex of all kind, drugs and violence. But yes, the beginning. There too much to explain otherwise.” She said. “Oh anything is fine. Surprise me.”

Tanner laughed as the girl told him all about the show. “One of my friends told me it’s all about girl on girl,” he laughed again as he walked over to the bar. He decided to make her a hard arnold palmer with the sweet tea that he made himself. It was his mother’s recipe and reminded him on home. He made himself one as well and sank onto the couch next to her as he handed her the drink. “Honestly it sounds like a typical night out in New York,” he joked.

“Yep!!” She said thanking him for the drink. “Yeah I guess it is, but I don’t know. I need to get out more,honestly.” Sabrina sipped the drink and hummed. “Oh this is so good. I’m gonna have like 3 of these and end up sleeping on your couch.” She laughed

“I don’t ever have a lazy day, but I’m a single mother of two so this is like a full on vacation for me right now.” She giggled as she followed him. “I should have worn like….comfy clothes.” She looked down at her jean shorts and shrugged. “Good! Because I’m so hungry! I’m down for it all.” Rina sat down on the couch and looked up at him: “seriously? You really do know nothing.” The girl teased and nodded. “But yes. All about women in prison. Based off a real woman, Piper, who went to prison. She had a whole book which is were this show came from.”

Tanner laughed as the girl teased him. “I mean…you look good,” he shrugged, laughing softly. He sat next to her on the couch and placed his arm along the back of it as he crossed his legs. “Awesome…the food should be here pretty soon, apparently,” he said, indicating his phone and that he was tracking the delivery. “I really don’t. But that’s pretty cool that there is a book about it. Do we need to start from the beginning? Oh, and do you want anything to drink?”

You have some more growing up to do.” She said kissing her daughter’s cheek. “Be good for your uncle okay?” The women hurried out the door and got in her car. It was nice to get out and hangout and not have to be in full on mom mode. She was happy to hangout with Tanner and just chill. Its nice to make new friends. Rina followed the directions as she drove off. Singing along to whatever was on the radio. Once there she got out and bounced to the door, ringing the door bell as she pushed her sunglasses up. “Hi!” She beamed happily walked in. “How are you?”

Tanner smiled gently as he stepped back and ushered Sabrina in. “Pretty good. Happy that it’s gonna be a lazy Sunday,” he laughed. “I don’t get how people have like a full schedule on weekends.” He led her through his apartment and into the living room where the TV was set up. “I’ve ordered food and have drinks and stuff if you want,” he said. “I honestly don’t know too much about Orange is the New Black. Doesn’t it take place in a prison or something?” he asked.

Tanner was excited for Sabrina to come over. They’d talked, of course, but hadn’t really interacted much. All Tanner knew was that she was pretty-very pretty. He was happy to get to know her a bit. Tanner wasn’t one of those people who weighed relationships as to what they gave him or what he could attain from them. He simply loved making new friends and having new relationships. He’d decided to order some takeout and grab some beer out of his fridge, just in case. He had a fully stocked bar as well, in case the girl wanted to drink something else. Tanner heard the bell and smiled as he walked over to the door. “Hey, darlin’. C’mon in,” he said, his southern drawl really shining through.
